It was a feeling that I would never get tired of. "Alright, let's get moving," Storm signed, breaking the silence. "We've got footage to review and a storm to analyze." We piled back into the Hummer, eager to start reviewing the footage and analyzing the storm's data. As we drove, Rain started going through the footage, looking for the best shots. Blaze was busy checking the storm's data, looking for any patterns or anomalies. Ryker and I were quiet, watching the landscape unfold outside the window.

" Hearing the voice on the other end sank my heart. Was my baby doomed today, with zero chance of survival? "Ma'am, you must hold on. We'll do everything we can to get to you as soon as possible." Despite his assurance, I knew they wouldn't make it. Behind me, another sharp crack announced the downfall of another glass panel. The hurricane lifted me like a scrap of paper, yanking me out of the window. The world instantly spun around me. A few seconds later, my body hit the ground with a heavy thud. Blood splattered all over, and brain matter pooled around me.

I could feel it calling, whispering the same words again, only louder this time, closer. “They’ve marked me.” I met Cain’s gaze, every muscle taut. “Then we find out who they are.” The bond pulsed once, steady and sure. The Eye of the Storm had opened. And we were standing in the center of it.

The storm had been building all evening, rattling the grand windows of the Moretti mansion. Lightning split the sky above New York, illuminating the city in jagged bursts of silver. Rain pelted the rooftops like bullets, echoing the violence that had already touched Aria’s life. Inside the mansion, the air was thick with tension. Every shadow seemed alive, every whisper of wind a warning of the chaos outside and the storm within.

AUGUST I tried to breathe the pain away. Ambrose’s kick wasn’t that powerful purely because I’ve received more kick from him and this was by far, the softest of them all. Despite of that, the kick still hit the bulls’ eye of my hollow stomach and I’m not even wearing anything to begin with. I had to flinch for a short moment but I tried not to show any signs of weakness. I centered my focal point at Ambrose and I instantly saw the upcoming storm named typhoon Ambrose. His glare was filled with so much intensity and that was more than enough for me to know that he’s about to go on a rampage.

I can hear the closing approach of the monsters towards me but I tried so hard to ease the fear I am feeling just to think. I open my eyes after and look at the monsters approaching me, for some reason I feel so calm. Something caught my attention so is the attentions of the monsters making them stop and look back. Something is coming really fast on the other direction creating fog of dusts on its way. It approaches really fast like the speed of a lightning. I cough when the fog made of dust covers everything around me.

“Yeah, well, tell that to whatever’s running this storm!” Callan released a burst of light, their presence radiating calm amid the chaos. “Stay together. The storm is trying to divide us. Do not let it succeed.” They reached the heart of the storm, where the air was so dense with energy it felt like wading through water. At the center stood a massive obelisk, its surface shimmering with dark energy that pulsed in rhythm with the storm. Tendrils of lightning coiled around it, feeding into the swirling clouds above.

Then he pushed the throttle forward, sending us into the dark water, toward the lights of Human Town. The storm was waiting. And this time, I wasn’t just running from it, I was sailing right into the eye, ready to see if I’d break… or finally learn how to dance in the rain.

The night the storm broke, it was almost poetic. Thunder rumbled in the distance, echoing like a warning that the end was near or maybe, that something new was about to begin. Adrian Knight stood before the wide glass windows of his office, the city stretching beneath him like a map of everything he’d fought for. Knight Enterprises had survived scandals, betrayals, and countless enemies… but tonight would decide whether it would stand or crumble.

“Holy sh-!” An eye was looking back at him, not blinking.
