CHAPTER SIX Wednesday, 24 March, 1869 The closed cart rattled its way through a set of heavy iron gates. Ellen peered out of the small side window. Her insides quivered as she took in the leafy trees and a sliver of clear blue sky. She whispered its name: Belle Vue. An exotic sound so full of promise. Then came the first view. She gasped at its beauty, like a magical palace. It was so large, she couldn’t see where the two wings of the mansion ended.

“You’re very...extravagant, my King. Especially when looking for an established house with all your...specifics. Don’t get me wrong, your ideas are lovely but finding a house in Oakvale fitting your list may be near to impossible without building a house from scratch.” I nod in understanding. “I see.” Well, I may have to knock some items off the list then. I didn’t have time to build a home, at least, not yet. “Mr. Morningstar, I take it this house wasn’t to your liking either?” Kathy Moore, the real estate agent asks as she and Zelda came to stand beside me and Beatrice. “I’m afraid not, Ms. Moore.” The brunette giggles. “Oh please, call me Kathy.”

Now, with my child gone, the last trace of my feelings for Renato had vanished completely. My family controlled the lifeline of arms supply across all of Sheily Island. If my father truly lost his temper, the Valentino family would be utterly destroyed. "Send the order," my father said into the encrypted communicator, his voice cold. "Cut off all supply lines to the Valentino family's docks. Seize the shipment coming in from Eastaropan." A crisp reply came from the other end. "Yes, Don!" Facing retaliation, Renato struck back quickly. He led his men in three assaults on the docks—but each time, they were driven back by my family's overwhelming firepower.

Edward, that fucker had known, he’d known that this idiot was right outside, that’s why he let me go. We arrived at…… I frowned, was this what they referred to as a villa or………an estate? Whatever it was, it was large, very much so if I have anything to say about it. We drove through several miles of forest after entering the gate, before finally breaking out into ……well….this. It had a house? Houses? The layout of the place was incredible. It was a castle. Even the air here felt different, serene and so at odds with the male sitting beside me gripping the wheel so tight, I could swear he had the ability to rip it off.

Harrison asks him “Our pack lies beneath Glyder Fawr, which is in view. I have travelled enough to know how long this distance will take,” Jasper explains to him. “I never visited the old Mountain View pack, mainly because their Alpha struck me as a self-righteous prick. I’m glad to visit it now, where a new pack stands finally. I have heard the lake, and the view is beautiful,” Harrison tells us. “It really is. Perhaps once you have visited mum and petitioned the council, I can take you for a run across the mountain,” I suggest to him.

The forest is more active today. Jasper looks up through the holes in the treetops and he sees the birds flying high, moving North. "It is odd that they are all leaving their nests this early in the day. I have never seen so many at one time," he thinks to himself. "Son," Conrad Darcy begins. Jasper fights the urge to roll his eyes. He clenches his teeth and prepares for what his father will say. "I know your mother spoke to you already. There is no debate on the matter. You will go to Viptan and you will find your mate there. You must partner with another Xefol. There is no other way."

He couldn't do anything. He wanted so much to gain control of his body, but so wanted to remain in this contentness. Was he dead? No, Jasper didn't think he was. He wasn't sure how, but he knew that he wasn't dead. He thought back to his last moments. He remembered seeing the grey sky, and the brown earth. He wondered where he was. He knew he wasn't in Gryaz. The gorge walls of his community were always a red colour, the strongest crimson at the bottom, before receding upwards. The gorge walls here were a muddy brown.

Jasper tried to resist with his little tricks, but when he fought back, his hands let go of the pillar he was hugging. This time, he really helped Rio a lot and was effortlessly dragged away by Rio. Jasper looked at Jenell and waved his hand at her, “Goodbye, Mom, I'm going on a long journey tonight…” Jenell looked at Jasper's bitter expression, almost as if he had just taken a huge bite of a bitter melon, and she could not help but laugh again. Merciless mockery from his own mother. Mauricius looked at Jenell and shook his head helplessly.

The Glambour forest, also known as the Devil's vale was situated in the western part of Patasia continent with mysterious supernatural secrets. lt was the earlier meeting place of different nations but now everyone was scared to cross that place due to it's dark secrets. History saying that hosts, sightings of the reaper, wolf packs gathering, vampire hideaways–all present in this forest at one time. Popular rumour about the forest was the paranormal activities of the non human creatures of there. Once approximately in early twentieth century, a pregnant lady and her husband were trapped in this mysterious forest because of the broke off of their black classic british sports car.

' Jasper only smiled reassuringly and patted her hand, "Don't worry, kiddo. I'll be fine. Just stay in the car and keep warm. I'll be back with the mechanic soon." Jasper turned around and headed off into the dark mouth of the night; his boots crunched in the snow as he walked. Valarie watched him disappear, feeling a cold clench in her stomach as darkness washed over him. She shuddered and wrapped her arms around herself, anxiously waiting for Jasper's return. *******
