Jax saw Carleone turn the corner, running away from him. Ninjas, brandishing their swords, rushed toward Jax and his men. As Jax's gun fired, the Ninjas fell one by one. Suddenly, an attacker dropped from above, and Jax raised his gaze, noticing someone above him, and immediately he shot at his crotch. “Ah!” The ninja growled, falling to the floor and writhing in pain. “GOT YOU!” Jax laughed, “It seems I burst your balls.” He finished off the Ninja with his pistol and marched forward.

“You two start this one.” I knew what was coming and didn’t want them to copy our strategy. “If you say so,” Jenny shrugged and nodded. “You have to escape the building without getting shot,” Brian said, his voice steady. “Good luck, Hani.” “Close enough,” Mayoko laughed at Brian's clumsy Japanese as they stepped up to the screen. “Damn it, Jane, it’s a maze. We’ll never get out,” Mayoko groaned as the level loaded. Jenny calmly picked up the rifle. She was too calm.

I race out of the cafeteria and outside to the area where Cal’s dragon babies have taken up residence until they shift. Before I even get there, I hear the horrible sound of bones snapping and I feel more than hear, Iniko crying out in pain. I find Cyrene who is sobbing as she watches Iniko. I take her hand and watch helplessly as our brother’s bones snap and reconfigure into his human form.
