I fell in love with her smell immediately. The boys must have heard the door because footsteps thundered down the stairs. Loki, six years old and full of boundless energy, skidded to a halt first, his eyes wide with curiosity. Lucas, four and still a little shy, peeked from behind his brother’s shoulder, clutching his favorite stuffed dinosaur. “Hi guys!” Kimberly crouched down to their level without hesitation, her voice bright. “I’m Kimberly. Your dad told me you two are pretty awesome. Is that true?”

With fear gnawing at her, Kimberly immediately drove to the apartment where she had kept the twins. She burst inside the house, sending fear through the room. The gang members scrambled to their feet, picking up their weapons abruptly. “Kim, what's wrong? Why did you enter like that?” Marley, the smallest among the gang, asked, dropping his gun with a hiss. “We need to move out of here now! I can't release these children yet because I’ve not gotten enough money from their father.” She said, her breath coming in gasps. “What are you talking about?” Marcus and Lauren, another member of the group, asked in unison, their voices sharp and deep.

“ Alex, honestly my problem is, I don’t know how to go back home” “I mean, I forgot the place here, I don’t even know where the road to my house is,” Kim smiled at her because he didn’t know the place there. “Alex, what’s up, how many times have I told you?” Her mother came out and when she saw Kim in front of her, she was stunned. “Oh, my gosh,! Alex, who is that handsome creature in front of me?” Her mother widened her eyes while staring at Kim. “Mom, he is Kim, Kimberley Joy Dragneel”

He began to wonder if agreeing to help Allen was the right decision. He knew for certain that dealing with the Kennedys would bring him nothing but trouble. Yet he never imagined that his misfortune would strike so soon.

“I know it's not because you think I'm not responsible enough. I mean, you don't even know me.” “Neither do you.” “Kimberlee Smith. Thirteen foster homes, like her coffee with both milk and sugar. Waitress and low budget journalist. Has two best friends and lives in a cheap apartment.” He stated. “Now you go.” Kim adjusted in her seat, trying to think of a reply. He was fucking right, she knew nothing about him. “Santos, likes black coffee. Likes it when my hair is up.” She finally spoke. He slightly turned to look at her.

"I expected you to be here. After that hit on Dante and the Mayor" "Dante worked for you?" Abel asked "And I came prepared" Kim replied ignoring the rhetorical question asked by Abel. An assassin I am to be reckoned with" Kim Lee paused allowing what he said to be digested by Both Abel and Jack at his back who was still mourning the death of his son.

Alpha Bryan. His very name was a curse among the packs. The one who had betrayed his kin, aligned himself with the Vampire King, and murdered Aiden’s first mate with his own claws. Captured Kimberly by force. His laughter, low and cold, carried on the wind before the battle had even begun.

CHRISTOPHER'S POV I extend my hand and introduce my self. " Good afternoon mam. I am Christopher Carter and I'm Kimberly's husband. Nice to meet you." She shakes my hand and looks at Kim with a raised eyebrow. "Okay ma I'll tell you what it happened but first can I ask you some questions?" The kids separate from Kim, well more like they cling to her sides. The boy looks up at me and somehow assess my body.

my eyebrows at what Kimberly was trying to insinuate. “Did you see how he lifted Jake ad flung him away. He looked so cool. And he is undeniably more handsome than Jake…” “Get to the point Kim” I rolled my eyes. “Did you know he was from Black vine pack?” Kimberly wriggled her brows at me. “And?” “He. Is. The. First. Son. Of. The. Alpha. Of. Black. Vine. Pack” Kimberly enunciated. “Oh” was all I found myself saying. I was surprised but it didn’t show on my face.
