I wasn’t even sure if he’d gotten everything settled with his frat brothers when he drove me to the airport in the morning. I tried to let those thoughts fade away while on my flight home. I put in my earbuds and decided to listen to one of the smutty werewolf audio books Hana has gotten me hooked on, Alpha Gray by CJ Primer, with Theo and Maddie as narrators. The book is HOT, and Theo’s voice… yeah, it makes for an enjoyable two-and-a-half-hour flight. I love how he changes his voice when speaking for each Alpha. Hana told me they’ve done the narration for the rest of the series, and I can’t wait to listen.

As Kent pulls the closet door open and disappears inside, I cock my head, considering…does Kent Lippert have pajamas? What do they look like? Biting my lip in anticipation of finding out, I look down at the book, a well-loved hardcover with a gilt title that reads Control and Manipulation. I flip it open, wondering if Kent just tossed me the first book he found to keep me occupied, or if he picked this for me… I look up, distracted, when Kent comes out of the closet again wearing nothing but his underwear. I can’t help the way my eyes follow him as he crosses the room, as I admire his well-muscled form, his eight-pack abs, his strong legs and his round ass.

While Zed could do many wonderful things with his bare hands, Kim mobilized many paid staff to do simple things for him. The door buzzed right away. Kim opened the door, and the same attendant stood in between the door frame. Kim ushered him in to clean up and bring the dishes out. Once the attendant left, Kim picked up his sling bag and put it on his lap. I watched him as he opened it and saw him pulling out a book. It had a glossy cream cover with embossed letters on its surface. I could not read the name of the book until he handed it to me, surprisingly.

He didn’t need to be like this. Kimberly freed her hand, took a few deep breaths, closed her eyes briefly, and spoke coldly, “I don’t want to discuss this anymore. Please don’t bring it up again. As for the book, keep it if you like. There’s no need to use it as an excuse to rehash old matters. I’m tired of it.” If she thought his words were harsh before, now they were like precise cuts to his heart. Steven's towering frame blocked the door, not moving an inch, seemingly deaf to her words.
