Blood dropped out of his eyes and nose…and from his ears and mouth too, and from behind me, I could hear Emily screaming but I paid no attention to her. I let the thing with Michael go on for another few minutes, listening to the popping sounds of his bones and how his skin made squelching noises, and when I realized that he was on the brink of death, I let it stop, smiling when he spasmed from fear. He even peed on himself. “Now, do you know Alpha Damon?” I asked again, noticing that this time, he couldn’t even look at me. He nodded his head, a little too vehemently like a kid as he rushed out; “Yes! I know him, we had planned to take out King Klaus together!”

That only meant he caught everything that was going on. "The guy that escaped. His name is Damien." My voice sounded hoarse, and I pressed myself closer to Killian. "And who is..that?" Maria's mate gestured to Blake, hesitating when he saw what his Alpha had done. "That's Blake. Their hunters." My voice sounded small, and I felt myself relax as Killian's hand traced circles on my lower back. "Why did they target you, Luna?" Gabriel scowled. "Because I got away." I whispered, looking up at Killian.

Torches flickering weakly against stone walls. And in the center— A figure. Kneeling. Bound. Head lowered. Blood on the floor. Marcus stood nearby. Still. Silent. Watching. Kael stopped. Slowly. Dangerously. “Look at me,” he said. The figure didn’t move. Didn’t respond. The air tightened. Something felt off. Very off. “Kael…” I whispered. He stepped closer. One step. Then another. The bond pulsed. Sharp. Warning. “Look. At. Me.”

CAMILLA I tied my hair as I made my way downstairs. Nikolai had already left for work while Miko and Mika were having a summer vacation. Miko just turned 25 last month, and my Mikaela will turn 18 next week. I'm thankful that she's not a spoiled brat and just wants to have a simple birthday with her family and friends. Miko took a medical degree and will graduate next year. As usual, he never neglects his studies even though he sometimes hangs out with friends. I must say, he somewhat acts like his father, Nikolai.

"Luna of the Dark Forest Pack. I'm so glad to finally meet you." Emma smiled warmly before she moved back to give way to another female with sandy blonde hair, who hugged me immediately. "Alexa Mikaelson, Luna of the Blood Moon Pack. I don’t have siblings, so I will never have a sister-in-law, but I have a perfect Beta Female." She pulled away from our hug and winked at me before pointing to a female just a few feet away from us. "Holly, my Beta Female. The closest to a sister-in-law I could get."

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

Where'd he go?! She turned again and was surprised to see the four guards appear out of nowhere. The tall blond male stepped forward. He had an ecstatic expression on his face. "I'm Mikael, the fun one. The redhead is Liam, a party pooper. The one with the scar is Elaine, enough said. And the other one is Mila, who secretly wants to" Katy quickly walked over to Mikael and began to beat him with her arms. "The hell is wrong with you!" She was jumping up and down to hit his face, but because he was so tall he just laughed it off.

Putting on my black high heels I give myself a last check before heading downstairs as I hear the first cars arriving. Arriving quietly behind my parents as they welcome the first couple – Alpha Zachary and Luna Rachel from the Blood Moon Pack, I step beside my father in time to shake Alpha Zachary’s and Luna Rachel’s hands. My mother and father give me a stern look, acknowledging my close to late arrival. I smile and continue with some small talk with Luna Rachel as Alpha Jackson continues speaking with Alpha Zachary and his Beta Sam. Luna Rachel is a beautiful woman. With her blond hair, brown eyes, and petite frame she is clearly the light in Alpha Zackary’s eyes.

*** Once the call was over, Michael looked at Colton and said, “Father, I want to head over to the Flying Eagles Academy for a bit.” Colton furrowed his brows. “Jade has taken people into Myriad Demon Valley now, and she may not be able to come out. Even if she did, she might be seriously injured, and there’s no more than one trustable person here. You’re already at this juncture. Why do you want to go to the academy?” “I’ve just received news that the b*stard who killed Maxwell is a high-level alchemist that even the Fairy Doctor is inferior to him.”

“You’re calling the cops?” “No, I’m calling an ambulance. You said there are children. They need medical attention, we can report the accident later. Write down your details, please.” He handed me a black notebook. The front is embossed with gold lettering. Greyson Elliot. Slack-jawed, I glanced at the notebook, then cast my gaze over the God before me. It can’t be? It’s not possible. He has Greyson’s eyes but nothing else. Greyson Elliot is a scrawny, acne-ridden geek and dirt poor. And I haven’t laid eyes on him in a decade.
