I stated. "Are you sure?" Xavier asked again. "Yes, It was ---" I was halfway through my sentence when Levi barged into the dining area with tears in her eyes. Xavier immediately dropped the fork in his hands and stood up to meet her. " Levi? " He called her. "What is happening, What's wrong?" he asked her. "Long story," Levi replied dryly with tears still in her eyes. Xavier patted Levi on her shoulder and comforted her lovingly.

His touch was warm and real and everything I had been reaching for in the darkness. I tried to speak, but only a small sound came out. My throat was too dry and raw. But my eyes said what my voice could not. I am here. I am back. Then, suddenly, he broke. The mighty, strong Levi Adam fell apart into tears. Not just soft crying. But full, hurting sobs that came from somewhere deep. Somewhere he had not let anyone in for years. He bowed his head on my arm, and his shoulders were shaking wildly as he held onto me.

The damned girl who used to oppose him and annoy him everywhere, today is like taking the wrong medicine, after just a few curse words, she cried already? “Third child!” David's expression changed when his sister was crying, he looked sternly at Levi. Levu looked innocent, and then realized that what he had just said might have been a bit too much. Just when he was about to change his attitude and be gentle with this silly sister, Lisa suddenly reached out to wipe her tears, then smiled and begged. "Brother, you can scold me a few more words." Levi was surprised, looking at her like an idiot.

He didn't know why he was crying, he didn't even know why he was crying to her when she was out there with another man she obviously cared more of but he didn't care. He just wanted to be able to vent out his emotions just once even if it killed him to do so.

I hated that I couldn’t keep it together in front of him. I scolded my stupid heart. He wasn’t my best friend anymore and I shouldn’t feel like I can tell him anything. I shouldn’t want to tell him everything. Levi was silent as the tears streamed down my cheeks. I tried and failed to pull myself together but it only made it worse. I sniffled and hiccuped as I ugly cried. Levi’s fingers gently gripped and lifted my chin so I had to look into his eyes. “I can kill him for you,” Levi whispered.

She can never win, can she? Levi. Levi lost it. Levi, Blaire, and Mateo were joined by hips ever since they met. The bond. The friendship. It broke. Levi didn’t lose a friend, he feels like he lost his sister again. The man who never let emotions get the best of him lost all control. He walked into the bathroom and broke down. He didn’t scream. He didn’t wail. He released silent sobs as soon as he closed the door. He sinks to his knees and lets out a silent scream. Tear spew from his eyes and nose. Saliva strung through his mouth as he bow to the floor and silently sobbed. He mewled as he slammed his fist against the floor. With Blaire, he lost a part of himself as well.

Chapter Two Ava’s POV The house was eerily quiet, except for the soft rustling of my hands as I packed away the last remnants of my past. I stood in Lily’s bedroom, my fingers tracing over the framed picture of my little girl. Her bright smile was frozen in time, her eyes full of the happiness she had always carried. My chest ached, but I couldn’t cry anymore—there were no tears left. No more pain to wipe on. Slowly, I removed the picture from the wall, placing it gently inside the bag I had set aside. The bag was meant for burning. I didn't want to see anymore of it that will bring pain towards me.

F-ck! “S-Scarlett…” I came to a halt and looked at Lux, but my eyes widened when I saw her crying. “Lux.” She shook her head and wiped her tears away. “The chairman has gone missing…” My eyes widen… F-ck.

I told myself I won't cry for a man. But seeing Evren suffering to breathe, as if he's moments away from dying, I can't help it. The tears sting at the corners of my eyes, and soon, they are flowing down my face. Levi's eyes widen when he sees me, and he rushes to me with a handkerchief. "Miss Wilder, you shouldn't cry. The sir won't like that." I slap his hand away when he's about to dab my face. Is he crazy? The father of my child is still fighting for his life, and he's telling me not to cry.

Mike and Rey stood face-to-face, their tempers flaring. “Relax, guys!” Drei tried to intervene. Levi froze. Rey’s next words cut like a blade. “Why are you so worked up? Didn’t you say Levi is nothing but a freeloader here? If I like her, why should it bother you?” Levi’s heart stopped. The world blurred as tears welled in her eyes. She turned and fled, ignoring the voices calling after her. By the time she reached the garage, she was trembling, wiping her tears with shaking hands.
