I'm not exactly sure why everyone was so obsessed with touching my hair here, but if it kept happening, I could tell that I was going to get annoyed very quick. “You should get a closer look, and show us what you really can do,” Briar says, snarling. He’s showing me a lot of teeth, which was very unexpected as I turned to face him. “What can I do? What does that even mean?” I say, trying to understand the joke. “You shouldn’t pretend that you don’t know what’s going on here. You wouldn’t be here for no reason, especially since you're related to Jasper and Morgan,” Briar says getting annoyed with me.

Christina says looking off in the distance as though looking at the memory itself as if it were right in front of her. “I was a nobody, I was in that bar for the fifth day in a row drinking my sorrows. I like to think Bess saw my pain and figured I’d suffered enough.” Christina shrugs letting the rationalization roll off her back. “She noticed the sotted turquoise rose in my pocket, a gift my grandmother had given me.” I’ve only ever heard of the turquoise-spotted rose in old legends. I thought it was a myth. Guinevere must read our surprised and slightly disbelieving reactions because she laughs and shakes her hear. “I’m not interested in you believing me, I’m telling you what happened.”

"Yes, 'The Long, The Short and The Tall' aren't they? It's not what I intended, but you can't turn your back on them can you?" "No, you can't. Scruffy's a rescue too, or at least I assume so. I was out jogging on the beach one day and he just joined me; ran all the way up and down the front, right by my side. There was no-one in sight, so he came home with me. “I fought my body. It sounds crazy but that’s exactly what I did. My body wanted to obey his command so I had to force it to listen to me instead. My attacker was surprised by this and when I told him to leave me alone, he listened.” Now that I hear myself say the whole story out loud it sounds more than crazy. I sound like I should be checked into a mental hospital. “Rose…” I look at Paul when he trails off. The words appear stuck in his throat for a second but then he looks me in the eye and says, “That man was a vampire.”

How did it get there? Rain stared down at the rose she had found by her bedside the second the woke up. The scent drifting in the air and causing her to smile. It reminded her of her time in the cabin and Rain didn’t realize how much she missed waking up to the comforting scent of roses until this one was brought to her. Rain silently wondered with a smile, would they still let her go back to the cabin or did Alexander plan to have her stay in the mansion permanently?

Brigid asked with a twinkle in her eye. “‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.” “That’s right. No regrets.” Brigid smiled. “Now, I don’t think you want to spend all day with this biddy. You two head on out of here.” “She’s trying to politely kick us out,” I whispered in Rose’s ear. “Thank you for having us over, Brigid. Thank you for telling me your story.” Rose stood up. “Pleasure is mine, Luna. Will you do me a favor, though?” Brigid walked us to the door but hesitated before she opened it.

I sighed, putting on the safety of the weapon and tucking it into my waistband. "Let's go boys, the fun is over" I ordered and turned to leave with my men sauntering behind me. ROSELLE'S POV. I heard the pistol go off twice before feeling the bullets pierce my body. Everything came to a stop as I fell hard to the ground. I laid still, feeling the rain drops beat down harshly on my body and listening to the sound of retracting footsteps. I could feel my life crawling gradually out of my body and to be honest, being shot in the stomach and left to bleed out on a cold wet pavement in a dark alley, was certainly not one of the ways I wanted to die.

Frowning, he went to pull the door shut and it hit something, a thud sounding towards the bottom of the door. Chris lowered his gaze to the floor, and blinked in surprise, stuck between the door and the wall, was a little red rose in a tiny but elegant glass shaped like a crescent moon, the inside hardened with…resin? He picked it up, and saw the tiny thorns surrounding the rose inside. Blinking, he curled his fingers around the item and jogged lightly down the stairs, two at a time. __________________

The food they give me I pretend to eat but the truth is I just want to break the plate so I can get a sharp part of it and so I can cut the rope tied to my hand. I hid it in my hand without anyone else knowing. All they thought was that I broke it by accident and no one even noticed that there was a part of the plate missing from the other side, that was the lower part of it that was already in my hand. As the day went by I gradually scraped it off the rope from my back. And it just so happened that I also deleted it right before something bad happened to Sabrina.

"Don't be like that, it's as if I'm just someone else. We are friends, and you used to help me a lot. Now it's my turn to help you." Once again Delmar thanked. The elevator directly took Delmar and his party to the basement. And miraculously, there were already cars waiting for their arrival. Delmar was deeply grateful for asking the right person for help. He only asked for one thing but Red immediately gave everything. Delmar carried Brisia to climb on the car, he could hear the sound of pain coming from the woman's mouth. "I'm sorry, Bri.
