“Mine too.” I blinked. “Oh?” Mira beamed and did a playful twirl. “He hasn’t announced it yet, but… I think I’ll be chosen as Luna.” I froze. The air around me turned cold, too tight to breathe. “I—I’m happy for you,” I managed. “Really.” We laughed together, but my stomach twisted into knots.It had to be someone else. A different Alpha. Hera said, her jaw winding impossibly tight. "Let's see how Reid reacts if I return your dead body to him," Mira purred, twirling a strand of my hair around her finger. "His precious little slave," Hera taunted. "When this is over, you'll be calling me Luna," I said, a smirk lifting the corner of my mouth. "Don't forget what happened the last time you underestimated me," I reminded Mira. "The use of Silver during the Luna Trials will get you disqualified," Mira said, a hint of fear flickering behind her eyes.

“She’s a traitor. She shouldn’t even be—” “Better a traitor than a bitch,” Mira shot back, her voice trembling with anger and desperation, glaring daggers at Lyra. Lyra gasped. “What?” “I am your Luna!” Lyra snapped at her, voice heavy with authority and fury. “Yeah… a Luna-tic,” Mira muttered, her glare still fixed on Lyra, daring her to push further.

Still, Selene couldn’t let that fear decide her life. “I need space,” she said gently. “You need to let me breathe, Luna.” Luna looked like she wanted to argue. Instead, she turned away, fists clenched. “Fine,” she said. “One hour. Mira stays within reach. No detours.” Selene nodded, her heart heavy with conflict. As she followed Mira out into the hall, she felt Luna’s eyes on her back the entire time. And somehow, that gaze lingered long after she was gone.

THIRD PERSON'S POV:- Mira swung her sword and Sierra tightened her hold around her katana. As Marsha knew well that she was no match for Mira, she decided to keep her target towards her womb to kill the child. Aiming for her belly, Marsha stood up and tried to stab Mira's belly with her sword. The pendant in her neck shined brightly. It blinded Marsha and Mira was able to punch Marsha's belly hard. Marsha went flying towards the wall on the other side of the hall.

Instead, she slowly raised her head and looked at me, her eyes glossy, rimmed red, but distant. I let out a quiet sigh. You know Mira was only after your well-being, right? She cares a whole lot about you. That’s why she did what she did and your reaction was just too much. Elena shifted slightly, turning her face away. I know you have a soft heart. A soft spot for people. I guess that’s exactly what Mira counted on, your kindness. That’s why she made that choice. Trust me, she didn’t mean harm. Her lips parted, voice barely above a whisper. But Lykan, she should have told me. She should have spoken to me first. I’m her Luna, not some random pack member.

Her voice shook with fury. Brian’s smile tightened, just barely. Mira pointed a shaking finger toward the road where the carriage was nearly out of sight. “She’s your Alpha’s enemy now? A helpless Luna” she demanded. Brian’s gaze flicked briefly in that direction, so fast it was almost invisible, before returning to her. “She chose her side.” “She didn’t choose anything!” Mira shouted. Brian scoffed. “Don’t pretend this surprises you.” Mira stepped closer, every instinct screaming at her to attack, to hurt him the way he was hurting her.

Her hair had been held in a bun so it didn't sweep over the medicine applied to her back, but there were so few loose strands dancing on her face. "No one would accept a relationship between us," Ariana said, and I felt the pain in her voice. "We are worlds apart," she went on. "I am human, how can I be a luna?" she asked with her head lowered, and I raised her head, placing my finger under her chin. "Don't think about that," I said to her. "What do you know about fated mates, when it comes to my world?" I asked her and read the pain, confusion and fear altogether in her eyes.

“Because they know you. Because you’ve fought for them.” Mira looked away, her gaze falling to the ground as she considered my words. I could see the conflict in her eyes, the weight of the choice I was asking her to make. When she finally looked up, there was a fire in her expression that hadn’t been there before. “All right,” she said. “I’ll go. But this better work, Lucan.” “It has to,” I replied, my voice firm. “Because if it doesn’t, Kael will win.”

She stared at Usher without blinking, then spoke with emphasis on every word. "I want you to make me your Luna and mate, Usher. No matter what happens, I don't care. What I want is to be your Luna. Do you understand?" Usher's eyes remained unwavering. He returned Mireya's look and nodded. "You must do everything so that I can be your Luna," Mireya continued with utmost seriousness. Her look became even more intense, penetrating. "Even if it means that you have to get rid of Ayla."
