An older female appears on the screen, and after introducing herself—Luna Eldia of the Blood Moon Pack—she asks my name. For the next hour, she proceeds to teach me about packs and other Luna-related things. I take notes on a notepad I find in one of the drawers of the desk.

"Oh, she's about 5'6" tall with legs that go up to heaven and the most beautiful curly red hair that sits above her shoulders like a cloud. She has a swanlike neck. Incredible ass," her cheeks are glowing red, "She smells like warm sunshine and glows with an inner spark," I laugh. "I think she's trying to hide to prove a point. She disappeared when I wasn't looking."

I should have done that. "Luna Crane, I'm alright, you can go back to training," he said to her. She looked displeased as her gaze met mine. Her eyes were almost similar to the Alpha's but without his glow. Her red hair matched her eyes perfectly and she looked tough yet pretty. However, her gaze had intense hatred towards me, it could pierce my soul.

Avery commented, as Roxie scrolled though the menu items absently. "There's one more thing. Maddison Lynch has become Luna of the Redwood Pack." Roxie was shocked to say in the least. She had figured that Alpha James had more sense than that. She had liked him before, but now she was realizing how poor judgement she had in that regard. "We are keeping an eye on things in Redwood, I don't want to cause any issues without cause, but I don't trust the people that at one time or another had the intention of harming my mate. So we're monitoring those situations for now. Anyway, what looks good, love?" Avery asked and Roxie felt her cheeks heat up at the way he addressed her. She smiled sheepishly

The blonde adds, “If you get the Alpha to fall for you, then you become the Luna, and that’s a position that we all want.” “The Luna?” I question. Both of them laugh at my question, but then the redhead hits the blonde’s arm and says, “She isn’t joking.” The blonde asks, “You don’t know what a Luna is?” I shake my head no and she laughs as she shakes her head and says, “Goddess, bless your heart.” I gulp, a small part of me still hoping they might explain things, but the redhead says, “Just get out of here. No one here will help you. You have to succeed or fail on your own and if things go our way, then you'll fail.”

Fated mates have so many rights and benefits, I need to use them to our advantage. My Luna turns to look at me again and then I get a chance to inspect her face for the first time. Her little button nose, her full lips painted red at the moment and her light brown, long, wavy hair. She's gorgeous, the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

I gave her a warm smile one a queen should give. “And how are you Luna Queen?” She asked me.

As expected, it was their overly dramatic friend, Vino. Victoria walked closer to them and got her niece from her arms, "So, your name is Luna Roja?" She bopped Luna's little nose. "What a cute name." "Stupid," Vino uttered while helping Honey to get up, "Luna Roja means Blood Moon. What is cute about that?" His twin sister just rolled her eyes at him. He heard Honey chuckling, so he glanced at her. "Blair must have gone crazy again, doesn't she?" he asked.

I'll never forget his words that almost brought me to tears. "My Alpha, we do not mean to disobey. But our Luna has been taken from us. Now that you have found your mate, our pack is incomplete until she has been returned to the safety of our walls. You cannot expect us to stay here and wait for you to return. Our Luna needs us. We may not be as strong as some of your warriors anymore, but we are capable and willing to fight. Please do not make us stay behind when our Luna needs us. The dishonour of not being able to do our part for our pack would put us in an early grave."
