He was my husband, and I loved him more than words could say.
A slow, tender smile spread across his face, softening every sharp line in his expression.
“Say that again,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
I blushed, but met his gaze firmly.
“Love. It’s what you are to me, isn’t it?”
He reached across the table to take my hand, his grip warm and reassuring. “Yes. It always has been.”
Taking a steadying breath, I continued,
“About our marriage contract… I want us to make it real. To prepare a proper wedding. The agreement will expire in just two days, and I don’t want it to end—I want it to last forever.”
