Pregnant With My Neighbor's Baby

Pregnant With My Neighbor's Baby

I went past my stop! "Just wait, I'll get off here," I said shyly and hurriedly left the elevator. I was about to go to the escalator so I wouldn't get lost this time when I bumped into a woman wearing a white t-shirt with a collar, covered by a dark blue apron. She also had an ID card, but even with my glasses, I couldn't read what was written on her ID. She approached me, wearing dark blue jeans and white shoes.

On Thin Ice With You

On Thin Ice With You

The navy dress she'd chosen this morning—fitted, clean lines—has drawn more than a few second glances from passing travelers, but Mia is focused entirely on maneuvering both suitcases onto the moving steps without catastrophe. She almost manages it. "Excusez-moi."(Excuse me) The voice comes from behind her—low, French-accented, the Quebec inflection unmistakable even to her limited ear. She shifts automatically to make room, and a figure steps past. Or tries to. Because in the same instant, the wheel of her larger suitcase drops into the gap where two escalator steps meet and locks there, completely stuck. Mia pulls. Nothing. The bag is easily fifty-five pounds loaded with textbooks and it i

Mikayla's Mistake: A One Night Stand with the Billionaire

Mikayla's Mistake: A One Night Stand with the Billionaire

Through the glass, she could see Cael and Anna talking. He looked up and caught her eye through the glass. Mikayla shuddered. He said something to Anna and they began to make their way towards her. Should she run? If she hit the elevator button, how soon would it come back? Or maybe she should make a break for the stairs? But she hated walking and climbing stairs. It made her sweaty. She was ridiculously out of shape. She had her good metabolism to thank for looking as slim as she did which wasn't even Anna-slim. Eventually, she could only stand there until they got to her.

Stranded with the Billionaire

Stranded with the Billionaire

"You're 10 times more likely to get injured riding an escalator than riding an elevator, which is silly because there are 10 times more elevators than escalators." Sage glanced at Amanda shrugging. "Really, Miss Derrick?" Sage asked. Irena opened her eyes and nodded. Then she grimaced as if realizing she had spoken. "I'm sorry. I say useless bullshit when I was nervous." A smile appeared on Sage's lips. She's worried. Apparently, her cold attitude towards him could be melted away. This made him curious. Before he could push any further, the door opened, and Irena rushed to the door. Sage watched her frame recede as she slipped through the front door and disappeared into the crowd.

Carrying the Don's Baby

Carrying the Don's Baby

It took us both a while to find what we needed. A saleslady there even helped because we couldn't really find the brand of mayonnaise that Edith was buying. It was at the top so we didn't notice. I fell on the bed when I got home. We even had a late lunch at an eatery, where I also washed my legs.

The Mafia Don's Obsession

The Mafia Don's Obsession

"No! I wailed, running as fast as my legs could carry me along the carpeted corridor. 'NO ! Ria! Not downstairs! You can't go there!" Even as she grinned and turned to stick out her tongue at Piers as she hurried down the stairs, her little body bending forwards in her haste, her tiny behind jutting out to help her move faster, she slipped and missed a step. The precious egg and silicone balls slipped from her sweaty hands and rolled down the carpeted stairs. To land with a thud at the feet of the men who were standing at the foyer, watching us in incredulity and astonishment. I groaned, bending over, hands on hips as I fought to catch my breath.

What Separates Me and You

What Separates Me and You

Lewis hurriedly followed behind and called out, "Slow down!" Ignoring his words, Josephine ran as fast as she could. Looking at the familiar mall, she thought she could find her parents there. Her mother used to bring her to this mall often and bought her many beautiful clothes. While running, Josephine tried to track familiar faces in the crowd, hoping to find someone she knew. However, she didn't spot anyone she recognized after exploring one floor. She continued to rush towards the second floor. As she was about to step onto the escalator, another person rushed out from the other side, and they collided dramatically at the escalator's mouth.

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.

Book was a page turner until I got to the end and then had to start reading 1 a day. Some closure to MsJenkins and divorce but not fully closed. No real character development and Josie is getting worse. I will keep reading for now but may be jumping ship soon if Josies situation doesn’t get better.

The Enigmatic Mafia Boss

The Enigmatic Mafia Boss

My pants are so fucking tight they’re almost painful. Her hand shakes as she swings her bag onto her shoulder. Even still, she leads the way out of the restaurant with remarkable poise. Will her pupils have returned to size when we exit? Jay meets us in the foyer. “Here, or…?” “Upstairs.” She gives the lobby a visual sweep. “Who knows what ears are listening.” She’s flustered in the elevator and selects the wrong floor button. She mumbles something incoherent before hitting the right number. Jay slides an amused glance in my direction, and I smirk. He knows I caused her misstep.

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

LOVE ME LIKE A CURSE

They didn’t need to. Maya appeared beside me, materializing like a shadow with a pulse. She took a cup, poured hot water, and stirred nothing. “Nothing to stir,” I said before I could stop myself. “It calms my hands,” she said and made tiny circles with the spoon anyway. “You all right?” “So far.” Maya almost smiled. “Two more rules while we’re here. Don’t use the executive elevator—silver doors by Reception—even if you’re late. It looks fast, but it’s not for us. And if you have to deliver anything to the upper floors—”

The Billionaire's Reborn Bride.

The Billionaire's Reborn Bride.

“Actually the questions you ask are not reasonable.” She huffed dramatically. “You are impossible.” “So I have been told.” With that, he stepped inside the staircase. Maya hurried following behind him. “You still didn’t answer me!” They wanted to use the elevator but after much thought, they used the stairs. Meanwhile inside the elevator Elena stood beside him, her fingers lightly clutching the edges of the oversized navy cardigan draped around her shoulders. It still carried his warmth and faint traces of his cologne. She tried not to think about how comforting it felt.
