I tasted something metallic in my mouth. Blood.

I instantly knew that it was blood. I looked around but could barely see anything. It was dark and only the beam of the moon penetrating through the window served as my light from where I was. I shook my head slightly to prevent the blood from getting into my eyes. I did not want to be blinded any further than I was already. I coughed and winced slightly when I tasted the metallic taste in my mouth. The side of my lips stung. I gulped to try and get rid of that taste but to no avail.

I feel my ribs bust and a growl of pain vibrates hugely from my throat as I cough out blood. I fight the blackness creeping into my vision but that's nearly impossible as gravity takes effect, slamming my eyes close. . . TBC.

My body felt numb, but I didn't see nor feel anything like pain, scared nor nervousness. I raised my hand and gripped the heretics wrist firmly. I looked at him with my emotionless eyes and tried to speak. "What?" he questioned when he didn't get what I said. Cough Cough! I cough blood, it almost made me cry because of the iron smell and rusty taste on my mouth. He glared at me and increasing the strength of his grip to shut me up. I let out a choke before laughing a little at the air on my lungs are slowly decreasing.

My stomach churned uncomfortably, and a bitter taste rose in my throat. I dismissed it at first, thinking I had eaten too quickly. But then the sensation grew worse. My chest tightened, and a violent cough wracked my body. The first cough brought nothing, but the second brought blood. I gasped, clutching my chest as panic set in. “Help!” I called weakly, my voice barely carrying. Moments later, a maid burst into the room, her face pale with alarm. “Lady Amelia! What’s wrong?” “I… I don’t know,” I managed between coughs.

I’m concerned, Kennedi. I should really get you out of here,” worry displayed across his face. He handed me a handkerchief from his pocket. “Thanks,” I said in between coughs. My coughing fits varied everyday, but everyday, they worsened. Today was the day.. the day blood came with the coughing.
