"Let me walk you to the parking lot." But what he didn't expect was the loving gesture awaiting him. Michael had come to pick up his wife. A sleek, black car was parked outside the hotel convention center. Although it was July, Michael was dressed in a full suit, seated in the backseat with the window slightly lowered, revealing his handsome features. The moment he saw his wife walking out, he stepped out of the car, only to spot Dexter walking behind her. Just like that, the three of them were caught in the same frame.

ABIGEAL I WALKED out of the bathroom and back to the bar. Michael and Anna were watching me warily as I went straight for my unfinished drink and gulped it down. “Next bar. Now.” I said. Anna didn't argue this time. We collected our things and left the bar. The cool night air hit my face as we walked outside. I turned to my right as we made our way back to Michael's car and locked eyes with Blaine who was about to get into his own car.

' he gazed at the building once again as he was hesitant about going back to sir Carlo's mansion without his Christina. 'what will I tell my mother and sir Carlo?' his hands trembled vigorously, he walks on a few meters and then notice a black-tinted SUV gradually following him. He peeks discreetly over his shoulder and notices the driver accelerating next to him, he stops instantly changing his mood, as he clenched his jaws and fists. The SUV stops next to him and sinks the window. "Sir, are you walking back to the mansion?" The driver raised a question with a scowl as he was confused by why Michael was willing to walk ten miles back to the mansion.

I turned and walked away before Orion could react. The next day’s training went badly for me. The bruises from earlier still ached. My body felt heavy from the first few steps. The sun was blinding. I fell to the back of the line, sweat running down my face. When the edges of my vision started to darken, my knees hit the gravel. “Sylvie.” Orion’s voice came from nowhere. He was already beside me, his arm around my waist, holding me so tight I could barely breathe. His fingers were shaking, but his voice tried to stay steady.

My heart was bleeding for him but all I could do was support him and walk proudly with him amidst such prying people, showing them that he was no monster. Later, walking hand in hand for the first time, we went to have dinner out of the hotel, exploring the town. Michael was pointing to places and telling me stories about almost every building, shop, and house we passed. His life was here, he had a dear memory or mischief on every corner.

A few minutes later, when Michael was sure she was asleep, he got up from the bed, put on a coat, and left the bedroom. What he didn't know was that Aurora stirred slightly. She wasn't really asleep. She looked to her right only to find the space empty. Where is he going? She pondered for a moment, then shrugged. Not my problem. She changed position and went back to sleep. This time, she truly fell asleep. Michael walked down the corridor and exited the mansion through the back. There was a building surrounded by wildflowers. When he entered it, he was greeted by a staircase leading downward. He descended without any sense of urgency.

Scarlet’s heart skipped a beat as she saw a tall figure she had only seen on TV emerge from the back of the room, walking toward the stage with an authoritative stride like he wasn't in a comma for five fucking years. It was Michael Black.

As soon as he turned off the mower, Audrey got up from where she was sitting and sidled up to him. “Michael, I was thinking that we should go out to dinner this…” She began. “Not now, Audrey. I have something important to do.” Michael cut her short brusquely, pushing past her and moving rapidly into his house, leaving his mower outside, along with a surprised Aubrey, whose mouth was left hanging open. Once inside the house, he changed his clothes, took a quick shower, got into clean clothes, and headed outside again. He did not know anybody in this neighborhood and had kept to himself ever since his stay at the last human settlement had turned into a big disaster. So, why was someone monitor

Aiden asked casually, though his intense gaze gave away his curiosity. “Uh… just going for a walk,” Michael stammered. “A walk?” Aiden raised an eyebrow. “Let’s go together, then.” Michael’s heart sank. The last thing he needed was Aiden tagging along. Mia would explode if she saw Aiden, especially because Amira would be there too. Michael pleaded, “No, no, you don’t need to come. I’m meeting Mia and her friends. You wouldn’t enjoy it.” Aiden didn’t budge. “I’ll come anyway. Need to stretch my legs.”

Then, as if sensing her wide-eyed gaze, he looked at her. His grey eyes were unreadable, but for the briefest moment, something flickered in them—something dark. The elevator doors slid open behind her. Without hesitation, Michael stepped over the unconscious man and walked out, never looking back. Evelyn’s knees felt weak, but she forced herself to move, stepping carefully over the motionless figure on the ground. Outside, in the dimly lit corridor leading to the underground parking garage, Michael finally stopped. He turned slightly, his gaze meeting hers.
