Miriam And Mei Novels & Stories

Max teased her. Miriam glared at him, “Desperate? Who said anything about being desperate? I came to see Big Brother Spencer because I have missed him.” Max rubbed his jaw knowingly, “Big brother Spencer, huh? You never mentioned that he was your big brother when we spoke about him last time.” “Shut up, Max, and stop being troublesome to me,” Miriam snapped at him as she blushed slightly. I raise my eyebrows in confusion, “Hold on. You guys have been discussing me behind my back?”

He scooped Damian and walked fast toward the other end of the corridor, undoing Damian’s body transformation. At the same time, Miriam walked closer and hugged the confused Niamh and Elle. Both girls could feel how shaken Miriam was, but when they glanced up at her face, they saw a bit of a helpless smile and a bit of excitement. “How lucky of you, Little Man!” Miriam said, softly laughing as she examined Elle closer. “Oh dear, oh dear, can you tell me your name?” Elle batted her starry eyes. “Umm... my name is Elle.”

Everything inside me went still. “How—” “I’ve been watching,” she said. Just like that. Like it was normal. “For two months. I know where you live. Where you work. I know who you are now, Elsa Marin.” She leaned in. “I know everything.” My wolf snarled. Every nerve in my body screamed threat. “I’d never hurt you,” Miriam said quickly. “You were always kind to me. But I’m desperate. You understand that, right?” And I did. Moon goddess help me, I did. Desperation makes monsters of all of us.

“I bet you fifty bucks Amelia gets both stories out of Kennedy by tomorrow morning.” Bash snorts. “No bet. Amelia could just take off her bra and Kennedy would hand over the nuclear launch codes.” …Fair. Before I can respond, I hear a voice. “Luna Kennedy!” I turn and spot Naomi, Slade, Arya, and Devin walking toward us. Amelia shifts closer to me. “This doesn’t look good,” she mutters. She’s right. This doesn’t look good at all.

Act fine when I'm not and lie about the way I feel. I met Miss Mia's kids earlier. Names are Kira-the teen, and Merliah. Both pretty and kind at the same time. Kira is the shy type but I can sense she is an intelligent kid with a bright future ahead. Merliah is the extroverted one. She's jolly and a curious cat that she came to the point of asking me what's my favourite planet. The time we spent together is short since they need to go home. Miss Mia is an independent woman and I admire her for raising two great kids without any man helping him raise her kids- aside from Sir Flinn who's paying her salary.

“Well, this is interesting.” Miriam chuckled as she looked me over. “It seems Mab has sent us a gift. Don’t worry sweetheart, your memories will return soon enough. Fae portals are a bitch on the mind.” “That’s a relief.” I sighed, a weight I hadn’t realized I had been carrying, lifting from my shoulders. “Who exactly are you two?”

Her desk had been spotless when she left. “What the hell?” she whispered. Diane sat two desks over, her fingers hammering the keyboard like she was angry at it. She didn’t look up. Trevor was at his station across from her, earbuds in, head bobbing to music Mireya couldn’t hear. Emeka’s chair sat empty, his jacket draped over the back. Nobody said anything. Mireya dropped her bag onto the floor and sank into her chair. The springs creaked under her weight. She pressed her palms flat against the desk and closed her eyes.

None moved closer. “I’m Kira,” the woman said. “Beta of Ashmoon. If you’re still breathing after five minutes with our Alpha, maybe we’ll talk.” Than she smiled. I felt a flicker of something strange - hope, maybe. Or madness. Either way, it was enough. We followed them through the forest, deeper into Ashmoon land, until the trees opened onto a wide, torch-lit clearing nestled between steep cliffs. Dozens of wolves stood at the edges, some armed, some not. All watching.

”Who are we? “Me and Mia.” I think I have never seen Mike so excited in my life. He is probably excited about the fight. I told myself. Mike is average build, has short black hair, green eyes, and a killer smile. “That’s good, I'm happy to see you climbed out of your shell Mia. I and the boys would love to get to know the real Mia.” I gave him a half smile and look to the front giving my full attention to the teacher. Luckily, we only have 3 months left of school.

Please accept my apologies for her actions; she is a bit hesitant around new people. Mrs. Greensmith remarked, "This is Miriam, Norval's younger sister." “Hi there Miriam, my name is Luciana. Luciana extended her hand towards her, anticipating a handshake, and continued, "It's nice to meet you." As Luciana's hand reached Miriam, she tucked her head back behind her mother's arm. For a small moment, the situation grew uncomfortable.
