Death Of A Rivera

Death Of A Rivera

Most things are about detectives and all their boring stuff but something tells me to go through it because I might know a thing or two. I've opened almost all the books on the first shelf. Turns out detective books are not so bad. I also passed out my time by checking some of the murder novels on the shelve. One really caught my interest. Dying to call you by Elaine Viet. It's about a girl finding her sister's murderer and all that.

Found (Book #8 in the Vampire Journals)

She felt a connection to history as she did, and it made her feel alive. She also couldn’t help feeling, every time she picked up a book, that it held a riddle, some mystery to be solved—and that thrilled her. For some reason, she had always felt that there was a mystery lingering in her consciousness, something she needed to solve. She didn’t know what. It didn’t make sense, and that bothered her. When she worked on a rare book, at least she could solve clues she couldn’t put her fingers on in real life.

I couldn’t help but smile. He squinted his eyes at me. “Ah, you know something that I don’t.” “Know what?” My smile widened. “At least, you share my frustration. It’s a good book, right?” “Yes. One of the great books I’ve read.” “I don’t even know if you read.” He smiled sadly. “One thing only a few people know about me, but yeah, I read.” “What’s your genre?” “Thriller, mystery, nonfiction. But Midnight is a mix of—"

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

"But that is the purpose of it. Books are designed to give you a wide sense of imagination. They were created so all of us can see beyond the physical world. I am not a good reader but I still can't stop myself from reading a lot of books about keeping calmness in my heart. If you ask me why I read those kinds of books, I will give you a lot of answers you would be pleased to hear." "I wish that was easy to actually do. I am more of a fan of historical books. I like reading about the dark ages and how medieval men lived their lives when the Catholic Church was killing millions of innocent people in the name of God." "So, you do read a lot?" The woman cut me quickly. "I didn't say I read a lo

Sinful Nights

Sinful Nights

No one has found the bodies yet, though, so theres still a lingering hope out there that they're alive. I sigh as I crawl under the thick quilt, flicking on the lamo beside me as I pull out my latest find at Barnes and Nobels: The Winter Garden by the famous Kristin Hannah. This woman's books are truly amazing. Then, after an hour long reading session, I find my eyes beginning to shut against my will, so I set down the book on the bedside table and shut off the lamp. ~ The next morning...

I didn’t want to spend my time thinking about Elliot when we hadn’t had a chance to talk and work things out together. “You like to read?” I asked him; that question gave me dejavu. “If the book is good. Mystery novels are my favorite and sometimes a bit of science fiction to make it more fun,” He tells me, putting the book back. “But these are the same ones that they had last week. I don’t think there's much to pick out. Do you read? Want to keep looking?”

"The Empire of the Steppes. The Wimsey Papers. Why can't you just read Agatha Christie like everyone else?" Taking a seat in the armchair near Lily on the sofa, Evelyn gave her a bright smile. "I do. It's just I've finished them all. And those are fascinating topics. Perhaps you should try staying home and reading sometimes instead of sneaking off so you can fraternize with grocery thieves."

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

He Left With Nothing

He Left With Nothing

He went to find a new book to read. He rubbed his tired eyes. They were still sleepy. Walking steadily, he went to the innermost corner. There was the mystery thriller books kept. Not noticing there was a tall guy standing opposite that shelf, wearing a tightly fit shirt, wrapping his sleek torso. He walked past him to that shelf, trying to grab a book on a slightly higher shelf. The book he aimed to reach was a popular murder mystery he wanted to read for months but didn’t find a chance. The path between the two bookshelves was quite narrow to fit two people simultaneously, but only one can walk freely between that place.

My eyes widened even more when I saw the mansion’s design. “Wow,” I said, looking around. I could tell just how wealthy the Montemayors were. I quickly ran to the large bookshelf full of books. I’ve always loved books, especially the Sherlock Holmes novels by Arthur Conan Doyle, but since I couldn’t afford them, I’d just search for them online when I had data.
