Just hold on. That was when I felt the first pop and fell to my knees. It was like my back had been broken in two. I focused on my breathing as my ribcage began to expand and elongate. My arms and legs dislocated, then moved to their new spots. Fire licked through my joints and veins. My hips popped out of their sockets, making me fall flat to the ground. “You’re almost done, baby. Just hold on,” I heard Matt say. When my face began to elongate and my nose transitioned into my snout, I thought my head would explode from the pressure. My eyes blurred, and my ears began to ring.

she turns, looking slightly out of it and walks right into the door with an ‘oof’, and I have to cover my mouth to stop from laughing. “Goddess sake, can’t you go five minutes?” Richard says in exasperation. She mumbles a ‘shut up’ and quickly dashes off. Richard shakes his head and then faces me, “Alright, let’s get this nose pointing the right way,” he says, walking over and holding my head steady, placing his thumbs on each side of my nose. “So we counting down or– ” a loud groan of pain cuts off what I was about to say as Richard swiftly readjusts my nose, and right away I can breathe easily through my nostrils again. You never know how much you miss that feeling until it’s gone.

Zoe groaned and packed a punch right on her nose. The impact was so severe on Dale that her head fell backwards and the ready of her body on a swing. Her eyes poured out tears on their own accord, sharp pains kept on occuring on a repeat and Dale returned each with a loud pant. Her nose went numb and burning so she opted for her mouth so as to breath. She then knew she was bleeding as blood began rolling in her mouth from her nostrils.

Huffing loudly three times through my mouth to boost my courage, I yank the cartilage back to the centre, releasing a piercing cry at the sharp pain that explodes on my face. The pain radiates through my nerves and I could swear I felt it all the way to my fingertips. The motion instantly brought warm tears back to my eyes and I feel as though I had just broken the nose all over again. I hunch over the sink, groaning in agony while biting my lip hard enough to draw blood. With my eyes tightly closed shut, I wait for the worst of the pain to subside.

It was so painful that I was certain blood was going to start dripping from my ears. "Joyce?" I heard Ollen through the mind link. "Joyce, are you alright?" I couldn't answer him, not when my eardrums were about to explode. "Stop..." I groaned, tears burning my eyes. "Please stop." The voices got louder before they completely disappeared. I gasped for air, my heart racing as I lay there, desperately trying to fill my lungs with air. "JOYCE!" Ollen snapped. "I'm coming back. Are you alright?"

Helena lets out a ragged breath, covering her face with her hands. “Can I go in?” I ask quietly. The doctor turns, her eyes dropping to my face. She reaches out, immediately inspecting my crooked nose. My parents snap their heads toward me, only just realizing it’s completely broken from the fight in the garage. The doctor grabs a small medical alignment tool, setting the bone back into place with a sharp, sickening click. It bleeds down my lip, but I don't make a sound. After that, they let me walk into the private room.

I held my breath, turning my face away as he popped the bone back into place. “Shit, shit, shit!" I screamed as tears burned behind my eyes. “Stay still.” I swallowed, attempting to bring my gaze to my arm when I caught his gaze. My eyes traveled up to his gentle face–we were nose to nose, panting heavily. His breath grazed my lips as he inched closer. Instinctively, I closed my eyes, expecting to feel the warmth of his lips, but then– “ARGH!" I screamed, my eyes snapping back open. The idiot had snapped the other popped bone back into the socket.

The thought brought a little smile to my lips that was cut off when something smacked me hard in the face, knocking off my feet! I looked up to see one of Sierra's cronies with a trash can cover as she high fives her friend. Something wet made its way out of my nose and I touched it to see blood. The pain was swift at this point, accompanied by ringing sounds in my ears. They were talking, laughing even, but I couldn't make out what they were saying through the ringing sounds in my ears. I was hit in the face, how come my ears were buzzing?!

Eva POV My head hit against the table and a streak of violent noise hurt my eardrums. I was stunned with a tuning fork still ringing my head. My eyes bulged open and I was shocked, moreover for a miniute I was not able to hear anything. Everything in front of me was blur.

If someone took a broken shard of glass and ran it into my eyeballs, they may not hurt as much as they did then. I hit the ground face first as I fell, my half-open mouth taking in sand and leaves. I hunched over but when the second wave came, it hit harder than the first, devastating me from head to toe and reawakening the ringing in my eardrums. Something cold trickled out of my ears, my eyes, and mouth. It would be tears, sweat or snot. It could be blood.
