They gradually increased. My whole body shivered the moment that the wind blew up. An ear-splitting sound suddenly filled my ear and I can almost feel my eardrum breaking. My throat started to hurt as if it is being scratched by a rough paper or being cut by a cat's claws. I placed my hand on my neck as I fell onto my knees. That scream was mine. That was the reason why my throat was hurting. My head was throbbing like crazy. It's as if someone is pounding my head with a hammer.

The seatbelt restraining me doesn't really hold my body weight. The airbag in front of me only makes it difficult for me to breathe. I struggle to move.

AURELIA POV♡ The next day I am finally able to go back home. The doctors spent most of the morning checking my condition again before approving the discharge. My head still feels heavy, and the inside of my ears keeps reacting to sudden sounds in an uncomfortable way. They explained that the fall and the water pressure likely disrupted my hearing more than they first expected, so the hearing aids I had been using before no longer function properly. A technician came in earlier and fitted me with a new pair. The sound through them is clearer, but every now and then a sharp jolt still runs through my ear, like a sudden pulse of pressure that makes me pause for a second until it fades.

I tell myself as I sigh hard. I'm grown, I can like a kid, Bella is one. "Jay, open up!" My Mom called. "What happened... Have your dinner first!" She yelled. I want to speak to her but I can't... I jumped in fright when a stabbing sound echoed in the silent house. I was shaking in fear as I stumbled towards the kitchen holding my bleeding nose with the tissue to try and stop more blood from coming out but it was in vain.

My phone flew from my hand and hit the floor as the seatbelt dug into my chest, forcing air from my lungs. My vision became blurred and my ears rang loudly.

People were stuck with their anger rising and patience getting thinner. The noise made Yric block his ears with his hands. As the honking got louder his head hurt more. Pain drilled inside his skull. It happened because he had sensitive hearing. His ear would react to that kind of sound. He wanted to stop everyone from honking their cars but he couldn't move.

My ears were ringing. I didn't have time to focus on anything. I knew everyone could probably handle themselves, I needed to know where my Dad was. I needed him to get out there. I tried to crawl without getting hit by the ongoing combat when someone pulled my leg and I faceplanted into the floor. I twisted to look up just in time to see a fist coming down on my face. I managed to move my head, just in time for the fist to graze my ear and land on the floor. A loud curse followed it and then a punch landed on my nose.
