I will break you, and that in turn will break him." I turn my head to meet his gaze. He smiles eerily. Then, he forces me to turn back to the group of people he was with. It takes me a long time to realize that these people all form a part of his hockey team. I've seen them before. Of course, I don't know anyone's name, but they all play ice hockey, alright. And right now, their looks are saturated with bad intentions. "She's a pretty one, Alpha," one of them remarks. I have no idea who he is. "Maybe we can have some fun with her."

"Jaxon, man. She came out of nowhere. I didn't see her.." Jaxon. Even drunk, the name registered like cold water. Jaxon Blackwood. Hockey captain. Future Alpha of the Blackwood Pack. The name that got whispered like a warning before new students even stepped on campus. I had kissed him. "Oh no," I breathed. Something shifted in his expression. The fury was still there but something else had moved in underneath it. He tilted his head slightly and his nostrils flared, just barely, the way wolves did when a scent caught them off guard.

I continued, “they might not like me anymore, they would be scared of me and some won’t want me as their Alpha” “I am not angry you kept this from me”, she said softly. “I shouldn’t keep things from you, I know that now”. “But I didn’t before.” She intently examined my face. “Does Nick know?” she asked. “Yes”, “he has known for years”. “And he is fine with it?” she asked. “He knows it,” I uttered. “When we were younger he helped me manage it.” She nodded slowly, absorbing everything. “How do you even play hockey”? she asked suddenly, her eyebrows knotted. How do you follow the puck if everything you see is in black and white”? “How do you know where the players are?”

We’re in deep trouble. THIRD PERSON POV: It’s evening at the Shadow Pelt Pack. Anna and Holly are sitting in the living room of the Alpha’s mansion, sipping wine, when a guard rushes in. “My Luna!” he calls out, dropping to one knee in front of Holly. “A call from one of the Military Generals in the United States.” “What is it this time?” Holly huffs, putting down her glass while Anna continues sipping her wine. “It’s about Alpha Prince Hu.”

“I’m Hycinth. Alpha of the Gypsy Pack.” “Already?” “What?” “I mean you’re already the Alpha of your pack? Didn’t that happen after we met in the Highlands?” He stared at me. “Have we met before?” “Oh, I’m sorry. I mistook you for someone else,” I explained. “So, you never went to work in the Highlands?” “Why would I? I’m an Alpha. We don’t work. Where are you from?” “Uh… I don’t remember,” I lied. “Why did that Beta attack you?”

All of the Alpha's agreed to it very quickly deciding this would be the best Christmas gift to all. I was able to get two packs from overseas to help as well. One pack is from England, the Windsor Pack and the other pack is from Ireland, the Cavanaugh Clan. Alpha Ryan Windsor is the current alpha to the Windsor Pack and Alpha Declan Cavanaugh is the current alpha of the Cavanaugh Clan. Neither of them have found their mates yet. Alpha Ryan is in his mid twenties and Alpha Declan just turned thirty. Both of them have had trouble in finding their mates but that's a completely different story.

Both could be deadly to a wolf if given in large quantities, whereas in small doses it would prevent our wolves from coming forward and healing us. During the duration of the meeting, I had managed to successfully sign alliances with six other packs. The biggest plus for me was becoming an ally with Moonrock Pack. My father had spent years trying to negotiate an alliance with their former Alpha only for nothing to ever come of it. Luckily for me that old man was dead and gone, his brother now running the pack as he had no children to pass his title to.
