Merturned

Merturned

The merfolk feel the sense of detachment as the familiar surroundings vanish, replaced by the enigmatic ambiance of the catacombs. As the merfolk glide down the spiral tunnel, their eyes are drawn to the inscriptions adorning the walls. Faint traces of merscript and symbols are etched into the stone, hinting at the ancient wisdom and stories that once resided within these catacombs. Though time has worn them down, the remnants of the carvings remain, offering glimpses into the history and significance of this hidden realm.

A Queen Among Tides

A Queen Among Tides

I try to think if I’d read or heard about anything like that or seen anything like that kept in our vault, but I’m coming up blank. I shake my head, “I can’t recall seeing anything like that,” I say guiltily. It’s the one thing they ask for and I can’t give it to them. “This tablet, does it have glyphs on it?” Lemuel suddenly asks, surprising me. Isolde begins to nod furiously, “Yes! It’s written in the language of the Gods. Have you seen it?” “I think I have, and so have you,” Lemuel says, looking at me.

Another amazing book! I feel as though each book is my favorite in this series and I love the representation. This particular author has an amazing way of challenging vernacular and using it to empower her characters. Her world building has you vested in the outcome of the story and characters.

Another excellent book! I couldn't put it down that I finished reading it in a day. anxiously waiting for book 6 to finish--not a fan of cliffhangers:) Or I may go back and re-read the series while I wait.

Alpha's Pup Mate

Alpha's Pup Mate

They were warnings about each tunnel but none of them said anything about the codex. "Bailey, what are you looking at?" asked Grey. "The inscriptions. I can read them." "What?!" My dad and Grey were both stunned. "Since when?" "Since I got my wolf back. The book that you gave me and the inscriptions here are exactly the same. When I came in here, the ones on the wall told me that what I sought was here but it would be dangerous. And these ones warn about the tunnels but they aren't in either one of them."

the book is really nice, but Bailey is so immature and annoying, her actions in the last chapters just put me off so much, it’s like she makes me not want to read any further. Gray deserves way better.
JC..
I would love to read the (or a) chapter where Bailey first discovers that Grey is her mate. I don’t know if you intended to skip that part of the story or if it is a hiccup in the way chapters are loaded.

Atlantis

"My uncle believes that he has discovered one of the hidden ancient monuments of Atlantis," "Which has disappeared, nowhere to be seen? Just like that?" someone from the audience asked. "Ah...yes...I..." "Continue Lindsey," Sir Alfred prodded. At this point, Lindsey presented a visual of handwritings on paper with strange characters. "This was the inscription on the sphere's base stand," Lindsey recalled seeing those inscriptions on the pedestal. "He copied it on this piece of paper and translated it as---" "Wait-" Sir Alfred interjected. "Translated?"

she introduced herself. “Interesting stuff,” Romos said pointing to the objects. “The books, the daggers and the cauldrons were found buried inside an ancient building decades ago. Most of the stuff was badly damaged, especially the books. They are written in a script that is illegible. Research has turned up nothing. According to the legends, the books are written in a secret code but no one has a clue about how to decode them. Anyways, everything here is a part of our heritage now,” the young woman explained.

Bound by faith : the rise of a rejected mate

Bound by faith : the rise of a rejected mate

My hands were still shaking as I leaned against the wall to collect my breath. I looked around and asked, "Is everyone okay?" "Alive," Kael responded, but in a sombre tone. He gestured toward the walls while wiping blood from his cheek. "But I found something you all need to see." Kael found an inscription, and we gathered around it. The lettering had a subtle golden glow, and it was antique. With his blade still in hand, Damon questioned, "What does it say?" Kael scrunched his forehead in concentration as he traced the words with his fingertips. "It’s written in the old tongue. Give me a moment."

The Howling Throne

The Howling Throne

The air inside the temple was thick with dust and the weight of forgotten history. Elior’s fingers traced the ancient carvings along the chamber walls, his mind racing to piece together the truth hidden within the First King’s final words. The dim torchlight flickered against the stone, casting shadows that seemed to dance like specters of the past. “The inscriptions,” Myrra murmured, her brow furrowed as she brushed away centuries of grime, “they speak of something beyond the seal itself.”

The Mysterious Alpha

“Whoever called you cursed, is ignorant. Ever since we knew about the prophecy and what the mark means to us, Craig started researching about marks. He wanted to know everything on marks and why it was so important to his future” The smile was long gone on her face. I also sat up properly, paying attention to every word that came out of her mouth. “We learned about a lot of marks, but the most mysterious mark was the dragon mark. It was said to belong to an ancient park that was now extinct. No one know if it was true or lie since nobody has seen it before” A shiver ran down my spine. “What are you trying to say?”

she asked in a hushed voice. I exhaled, rubbing a hand over my face. Gently, I laid Emily back on the bed, and stepped away from the bed. “We found Elara at her home. The girl spoke in riddles about a place where the earth rises to whisper to the sky, where an unseen mouth yawns wide, swallowing all who enter. A place untouched by light, where echoes never fade, and the air is thick with the whispers of the lost.” Leia’s brows knitted together. “What does that mean?”
