Rejected Luna: He wants me back
Inside, nestled in a cloud of white blankets, lies a tiny creature.
His features are obscured by a coating of vernix, but a shock of black hair, the same shade as Elijah’s, already adorns his tiny head. He scrunches his face in a quizzical expression, then lets out another weak cry.
Tears well up in my eyes, blurring his image further. A choked sob escapes my lips. “He’s here. My little pup,” I whisper, the words catching in my throat.
Celine gently lowers the side of the bassinet. “He is. He’ll change this world,” she says softly, something glinting in her eyes. “Meet your son, Rena.”
