Private Lessons With The Bad Boy Bully

Private Lessons With The Bad Boy Bully

"Please pay attention, okay? I was talking about you paying attention so you'd actually pass your SATs?" I tried to keep my voice stern and professional, that way both of us would have to remember that I was actually just a tutor and not someone who'd just been half-naked in his bed five minutes ago. He leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head in a way that made his shirt ride up so I had full view of his abs. He said, "Pass is a big, big goal to reach, princes. I think not failing is good enough for me."

Codename: Blackheart

Codename: Blackheart

I gush. “Thank you, Miss Heart,” he says happily, “Actually, I heard you were coming tonight and I got excited,” he admits. I raise my eyebrow, “Oh?” “You know how you told me that I shouldn’t have given up on the idea of college?” “I do remember. You convinced yourself you’d never get in anywhere and that you weren’t good enough,” I say, holding my purse in front of me. “Yeah,” he nods, “Well, I decided to take your advice. You were right, it’s better to try and fail than not try at all. I got into Stanford,” he says with a bright smile on his face.

This was my favorite book from this author. It was so entertaining from start to finish, and was incredibly well written. I don't normally read this genre, but knew it would be good, as all her work is amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I am hooked and can't wait for the next book in the series!

One Last Chase

One Last Chase

He kept on chuckling at how many times he failed recently. “Fucking work of failure I am!” he yelled as he successfully got inside his apartment after failing to enter the keys to the keyhole maybe four times. Then he must be so drunk because he sniffed the smell of fresh thyme and tomato. Then he heard a song from his playlist. He stepped out of his door to check again if he was sure he entered the right floor and door. “It won’t open if I enter the wrong door, right?” he asked himself and laughed. “I’m going insane.” He locked the door. The smell of cooking became more distinct which had him excited.

His presence was a constant weight, like the air itself had grown heavier. “You missed a comma in this email,” he said one hour in, leaning over my desk to point it out. His cologne hit me like a physical force, expensive, sharp, intoxicating. I nodded, my fingers trembling as I corrected it. “You think you can handle pressure?” he asked. “I can,” I said, though my stomach knotted. “Can you?” His voice dropped, low and dangerous, close enough that I felt the heat from his body. “Because I don’t tolerate failure.”

Teach Me How To Love

Teach Me How To Love

The three got confused and waited for him to answer something. "Because he can't read and spell out his name, that is why," Danny said then cackled. The three got surprised by what he said then smirked. Justin let his body fall on the grass as he heard and realized that the King's Guild knew what he was incapable of.

Awesome nd quite touching. Starting from the first chapter it builds up the curiosity like... "Hmm.. what's going on? what father did? Why these kids are discussing about him?" And with these questions you start digging deeper in the book. (Sorry Author will kill me if I spoil further.)

This is soooo great! I love the concept of the story on how Justin will meet Marian who will change his entire life and teach him how to love. I also love how the writer made the hero have a disability( discalculia) which made his character more effective ❤❤❤

Claimed by my Ex's Ruthless Uncle

Claimed by my Ex's Ruthless Uncle

He needed me to prove myself to him. "If you don't break under all of my tests, then I will trust you to tame my demon." I shrugged. "Fine by me." He smiled. "Don't you want to know what will happen if you fail?" "I don't need to know, and that's because failure is not one of my approved vocabularies," I answered boldly. He grinned as if I had successfully helped him scratch an annoying itch in his brain. "May we go down for breakfast?" I asked. "I am sure the family is dying to know the outcome of last night."

No Complaints, No Words

No Complaints, No Words

“We made a promise to have a child together. You can’t break your word...” I held my phone and said indifferently, “But you don't deserve to be the mother of my child.” Immediately after that, a loud crashing sound came from the phone. The call was cut off. Only later did I learn that Shiloh had gotten into a car accident at that moment. She had died instantly on the scene. As for Easton, he did not manage to graduate. He wandered from place to place with the motherless child. He lived a life worse than that of a homeless person.

My summer crush

My summer crush

Then I heard the faint turning of pages from his end. And that was it. The call ended. No goodbye. No further explanation. Just another test dropped onto my shoulders. I lowered the phone slowly and leaned back into the chair again. In Father’s world, there was no such thing as failure. You either survived his expectations… or disappeared beneath them. Simple. I closed my eyes briefly and rubbed the tension from my neck. I couldn’t afford distractions at a time like this. Not now. Not when everything was beginning to shift. Yet somehow…

Prisoner To The Mafia King

Prisoner To The Mafia King

My tongue clutched itself against the inside of my throat before it managed to fall out of me. I closed my mouth. “Thought so,” Damien states flatly. “You can't even define the word ‘good’, yet you claim it is accurate for your putrid bloodline.” He tilted his head as though a thought struck him. “There's one thing I can't but agree with, one thing that your father used to call you.” He seemed to pause, thinking really hard. “What was it again...” A smug smile started to stretch the corners of his mouth. “Ah..., I remember the words. Failure.”
