My Thirty-Year-Old Husband's Obsession with Pink

My Thirty-Year-Old Husband's Obsession with Pink

"Holy crap, another plot twist! I'd wondered how Poppy could be a mistress so shamelessly. Turns out the man she stole from was her sponsor's! She used her money to live the good life and still seduced her husband. That's insane!" "I knew that woman looked familiar! Back when Sunnydale Elementary first opened, she came with that man to visit Poppy—brought her all sorts of gifts we'd never seen. She even talked to the teachers to ask about Poppy's grades. When she learned Poppy wasn't doing great, she just smiled and said it was fine, that she just wanted the girl to grow up happy and healthy." "I remember that too! After they left, Poppy told us she thought the man was tall and handsome, lik

Sex Slave to the Alpha Daddy

Sex Slave to the Alpha Daddy

“Poppy, things have to change. I have to change. If I don’t, they’ll do worse than take food and warm clothes, they’ll really hurt us. From now on I’m going to make choices you might not agree with, but I have to protect us both. You can’t shrink back because of them anymore. We both have to fight. You have to be confident, and I need you to stay loyal. I can’t have you beside me if you’re not.” Poppy blinked at me, shocked by my speech. Then she reached for my hand. “I’ve been a maid all my life,” she said quietly. “My mother was a maid, and I never even met my father. No one has ever treated me like a real person… until you. When you told me to call you by your first name, that tiny moment

Killing Game Quarter

Killing Game Quarter

I waited to hear a third new voice, but after a short time of not hearing anything, I realized what was different about this room. "We ain't stealin' kidneys or nothin'! We're here to help y'all out," Poppy announced, taking her key ring back from Mia's hand without any resistance, "All I need is yer name and Ultimate if ya got one." Poppy had taken the lead in the information briefing, and her newly returned chipper mood was met by the new guy's mood spiking up as well.

CEO Wants His Wife Back In His Bed

CEO Wants His Wife Back In His Bed

April halted, startled at the voice. Poppy. She stood outside the copy room holding a takeaway salad, brow furrowing immediately as she took in April’s appearance. April opened her mouth to offer a deflection, but Poppy didn’t wait for one. She set the salad down and stepped forward. “You look like you’ve been hit by a train.” Her voice wasn’t judgmental. It was concerned. Soft. The kind of voice April hadn’t known she needed until it broke her open all over again. “I’m fine,” April said, too fast. Too flat.

Thank you everyone for waiting for me to recover. Losing family is never easy but having to write about loss at the same time was too much. I just needed to take a break but I’m back and ready to write. I had to read my story again to make sure flow is still working and the timeline works. Love BS

good, but I need redemption after hurt, which is lacking. She should forget all the hurt, so he feels comfortable? he can't be bothered taking responsibility for his past transgressions nor redeem himself? he breaks her heart and now wants her to get over it, so he can keep getting what he wants?

Our Luna's Heart

Our Luna's Heart

“Oh, silly me, you probably forgot about me, it’s me, Poppy.” Suddenly, my image of a good friend of mine from the high-school came into me, a timid petite girl with thick glasses. Her name is Poppy Pots, I defended her from the bullies and that’s how we become a good friends. I tried to warm up to her, but once again I only last like one year, because I entered the school in my senior year. “Poppy… Pots?!” I asked her carefully. She jumps at me with her chirpy scream. “Oh, you do remember me!” I can see Dusty and the other man trying so hard to get away from her, she is so a happy-go-lucky young woman now, unlike the shy persona that she had in High-school.

I groan, wishing I could scream into my phone for answers. “I’m convinced she’s in it for his money. Not only that, but Courtney Roberts was already a household name when the two started dating. This Ophelia woman has a few measly, mediocre songs published online, and now, suddenly, her numbers explode the day we film our podcast? I’m not buying it. The moment you all learned of her, you did the same thing I did. You speculated.

Redheads & Ranchers

Redheads & Ranchers

And she'd used her body to warm his. Standing there now on the chilled autumn day, Hunter could feel Poppy's skin against his own. He could close his eyes and inhale her scent of lavender and rose and woman. God, to go back to that stormy night, to wipe the slate clean and start over again. He wondered what Poppy was doing now and whether she'd met someone new. Of course she had, why wouldn't she? She was a gorgeous, desirable, sophisticated woman with her fancy designer shoes and her savvy business acumen.

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

I am the Dawn, and I am meeting my past today not as Paige, the girl Greg manipulated… but as Paige, the woman he never had the power to break. There’s a soft knock at the door, and before anyone can answer, Poppy pushes the door open with a groan that sounds like she’s dying. “I swear,” she mutters, stomping inside, “if you ever wake me up before the sun again, Paige, I’m moving back to the university and living off instant noodles.” Leo follows behind her, annoyingly bright-eyed for someone who probably slept less than four hours. “Morning,” he says cheerfully. Poppy glares at him. “Do not speak to them like the day has started. It hasn’t.”

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.

this was the first story I read by this author. it was beautiful! I felt every emotion and got some crazy looks from my mate when I would start laughing or wiping my face because I shed some tears. it's definitely worth reading. I finished it in 2 days because I literally couldn't put it down

The Luna's Law

The Luna's Law

*Poppy* The air in the car felt heavy as we bounced along the dirt road, the rhythmic bounce of the wheels barely covering the chaos swirling in my mind. I couldn't shake the image of Dante's lifeless body, now shrouded in white silk and adorned with calla lilies and black roses. Each flower seemed to mock the tragedy, a haunting reminder of our failure. I gripped the edge of the seat, trying to steady my raging heart. The news we carried was more than just the death of a warrior; it was a ticking time bomb, threatening to ignite a war between kingdoms.

A Few Hundred Poppies

A Few Hundred Poppies

Dumbfounded, I stared at him for a few seconds before getting a hold of myself. "Aww, so you think of think of this as a date. How cute," I teased as we stepped out into the sidewalk, walking towards Sharma's Sweetmeat. "Oh please, Aditi, you're dying with delight inside," he tried, but the fact that he was scratching his neck gave him away. I grinned to myself, tucking the money the Principal had given me into the diner's donation box for climate change. Noticing an exceptionally vibrant royal blue poppy by the sidewalk, I bent to pick it up. Twirling in around on my palm, I said, "You know, West, in a field of poppies, you'd be this one. The most electrifying blue."
