(30). When Alpha meets Omega . Chapter 30: the war is over I'm coming, my love . . The White Peak wolves are shellshocked when they hear howls that don’t belong to them and are floored when wolves barrel into the heart of their pack. Half of the wolves stand there as valley wolves flood the mountain, but are quick to react when they’re knocked down to the snow and attacked.

I slam the book shut, the echo loud in the stillness of the library. Dust blooms in front of me, making my nose wrinkle as I sneeze. My chest tightens as I stare at the worn cover, my mind churning. There’s only one way to know the truth—whether I’m an omega or an alpha wolf. I have to shift.

He whispered, staring into my eyes. I lowered my eyes to his chest and hummed. I saw it all. I had seen the horrified expressions on his face when they were fighting my mother. Five warriors against one omega. She was outnumbered but her mother instinct kept her on her feet until the last moment. But then, she broke down and asked me to run for my life. I did as she said. At first, I swore to take revenge for her but then I recalled what she had told me just the night before she died.

I straightened awkwardly, suddenly aware of Lauren, who was several feet away looking like she had witnessed her own funeral. “I….” I cleared my throat. “I came for the books about omegas.” Osiris repeated with a frown. “Books?” The libertarian told me, There are some books about omega bonds in the east wing’s library.” “Oh!” Osiris nodded. Then, without another word, he lifted the tote bag hanging from his wrist. “Are you talking about these books, Kate?” I grabbed the bag and nearly gasped while checking the books inside it. ‘Fated Bonds and Omega Instincts.’

The white wolf caught the Alpha’s neck and slammed him on the ground, his raging anger drowning the sound of the cracking of bones, as well as the screaming crowd. “How dare you sell away our lives like that!” The Omega growled at the whimpering Alpha, who was bleeding ceaselessly, “How dare you use us as prey for your monstrosity!” The images of the disgusting file kept flashing in the Omega’s mind, as anger blinded him further, clouding his rationality, “How dare you rob us of our rights!” He kept striking with full force, delivering fatal blows. “Stop please! Why are they burning the city down?” “They’re trying to divide the police force, all of whom are wolf warriors. There are more Omegas than warriors, and if the Omegas swarm them, they can overpower them.” “But…will they do it in front of the cameras?” “I don’t know. Damn Omega! Rourke's jaw clenched as he pivoted away and stalked off with the Guard following. Several wolves had come up the various hallways, curious at hearing the Alpha's roar and seeing that Dominic and Beta Rourke were facing off, they muttered in fear and speculation. Dominic walked off, his head held high and Christoff sighed again, looking up to see Pritchard watching with a grim expression. He walked towards Pritchard indicating for him to follow and went to his office. He poured a stiff drink and downed it, refilling it and turning to look at Pritchard with a grimace.
