One Eye Blinking Slower Than The Other Novels & Stories

He scolded and gulped down the drink I poured, leaving the glass back at the top of the table. I almost pouted, but didn't. I only sighed to his hearing and bashed my lashes. At that moment when I pinched my eyes together and opened them almost immediately, I saw two blurry vision of the Pete sitting diagonally from me. His two shaky, blurry self came together as one and I had to shake my head, noting that wasn't normal. I blinked and looked at him again to see if my sight would repeat what it just did but it didn't so I sighed again.

I asked as I touched every part of my face. He grabbed a mirror and handed it to me. My eyes widened when my left eye turned completely black. "W-what.." I stuttered to say anything. My right eye is completely normal with my hazel eyes, but my left eye… the whole thing is black and no sign of any color. A moment later, it turned back to normal. I blinked a couple of times and touched my eyes. "What was that?!" I freaked out and looked at him but it seems like he doesn't have an answer to my question either.

Pity me. When my eyelids are fully opened, I move my eyes and blink deliberately trying to clear my vision. It’s blurry but, I can see a corridor and a couple of doors. I shut my eyes harshly and then, I open it again. A little by a little, my vision is clearing. I let out a long breath. A gas comes out from my mouth.

While blinking slowly, Arleena tried to neutralize the pain in her right eye. "Does your eye need blowing out?" asked Sherlynn, who had tilted her face to watch Arleena more intensely. Arleena couldn't answer immediately. Her focus was still on blinking repeatedly. It was faintly visible because her eyes were watery. Gradually, the stinging in Arleena's eyes had diminished. Arleena remained silent, then gave Sherlynn a shake of her head. "No need. Now my eyes are relieved," Arleena replied, then gave Sherlynn a smile. "I'm sorry for making you panic. I suddenly thought of something earlier."

I mumble, my head beginning to throb. My eyes blur for a second and I momentarily lose sight of everything, but when my vision returns, I can see everything. There is a mirror sitting against the wall on the other side of the room. I look at my reflection, noticing the disturbing color of my eyes, but they weren't anything I hadn't seen before.

Ashley's screams began to fade, and everything else around me fell silent. It seemed like I was the only one there, like there was no one else next to me. I began to blink slower, and each time I blinked, it was challenging to open my eyes. My lids grew heavier, and when they got too heavy to lift, I simply let them close. And then, there was peace.
