The torches flickered with the restless wind, casting long, dancing shadows across his face. He had already sent guards to every corner of the palace, doubled patrol at the borders, and even dispatched warriors beyond the woods. Yet still… nothing. Lucia was gone. As if she vanished into the shadows themselves. “She couldn't have disappeared into thin air,” Logan growled, voice low and sharp like a blade. “She’s injured. Weak. She shouldn’t have gotten far.”

The environment was goddamn delicious, the air smelled of salt, and the penumbra gave him a peace he believed he had lost forever. Aria's POV The scent of disbelief rolled off Chloe in waves. “I ran into Aria in Duckspire,” Logan replied honestly, blinking as he spoke. “So I followed her here.” That blunt sincerity only made Chloe narrow her eyes, suspicion sharpening her scent. “Are you pretending to be young?” Logan’s mouth twitched. The next second, he shot her a fierce glare. It was sharp, unfiltered and very much him. His aura flared briefly, instinctive dominance leaking through.

I mutter. "No, these are not rogues." Logan says. I turn to him to see him holding the arrow that was shot.
