One Year After Novels & Stories

❤️A YEAR LATER ❤️ It's been a year since I have came back and it's been exactly a year and one month and since I have parted my way from Edward. . . . I started working at Emma's cafe and I have become a best employee of this year, it was an award which was given by Emma's dad as he runs a chain of restaurants and hotels and Emma's Cafe is one of the part of his cafe and restaurant chain. . . .

Heidi rushed out of the kitchen with a kitchen knife but was swiftly kicked down by the leader. "Brat, how old are you? Are you sure you should be waving that knife around? Next week, I'll come to collect the house!" After they left, Mom hugged Heidi and cried. I went to check on my sister's injury. Her leg was swollen and was starting to hurt again. Three years passed. Both Grandma's grave and my grave had become overgrown with grass. Heidi visited our graves every year on our death anniversary with flowers and fruits, limping as she walked.

A calendar reminder he’d set three months ago and forgotten about entirely. Tomorrow was their one year anniversary. One year since a lawyer had read a will aloud in a room and both their lives had changed entirely. He looked at Selene. She was watching a pigeon conduct an aggressive negotiation with someone’s abandoned coffee cup and hadn’t noticed him go still. He put his phone away. Started thinking.

Even after observation, results came out the same. It was starting to look like anytime I was getting a check up or trying to get treated by the hospital, the symptoms disappear, but when I get home. It is a whole different story. Something new has to happen every two days and sometimes persist for the whole week. Three months into this lifestyle and I still can’t predict what happens next. Except for the ones that had seemed consistent. I wasn’t getting any better and that was a fact. But Andy wasn’t getting any good either, so that alone gave me some sort of edge.

I went abroad for a year to further my studies and kept in touch with my girlfriend, Casey Wilbur, through video calls every day. One day, I saw her first love post a photo with a caption. [We are back together after ten years!] In the photo, my girlfriend was visibly pregnant, holding his arm and smiling sweetly. The post was deleted when I refreshed the page, but I was certain of what I saw. That was her. The scarf around her neck was one I designed myself—the pattern came from the initials of our names combined with our zodiac signs.

Finale One year had passed since that pivotal afternoon in Kate’s apartment, when she had sat on the couch, wrestling with the weight of her future. Now, as she walked across the bustling college campus, her steps were lighter, her heart fuller. The past year had been a whirlwind of change, growth, and unexpected joys. She had given birth to a beautiful baby girl, Emma, who had become the center of her world. Balancing motherhood, school, and her relationship with Seth had been challenging, but Kate had found a rhythm that worked for her. She was proud of how far she had come.

That I will get used to this and things will settle down in time. It’s one year! I mean, how much can really change or fall apart in such a short space of time, right?

She was too shocked by a fact that suddenly attacked her head. "Yes, that's right!" Dannie again clapped happily, "You are very smart huh!" “Stop saying something annoying and answer my question!” "Huh, you really are no fun." Sena narrowed her eyes sharply, causing Dannie to raise his hand and said with a sigh, “All right, all right. You are right. I've actually been sober since the first day I was admitted to the hospital.” Oh lord! This is really crazy! So all this time... Ah, then what Sena saw this afternoon wasn't a hallucination.

She was glowing, despite the dull cold in the air. “Do you want to hear something funny?” Mila asked. “Today is my one-year anniversary of moving to Fresonia.” My jaw dropped. Had it really only been one year? And how had it been a full year already? “Which means,” Mila continued, a twinkle in her eye, “that today is the one-year anniversary of us meeting and you buying me a drink.” I tugged her close. “As I recall, that’s not the only thing we did that night.”

Then I stood up and hugged him before I could stop myself. “Thank you, thank you so much.” I pulled away immediately, embarrassed. “It’s fine,” he said. “Get some rest.” When he left, the room became quiet again. I placed my hand back on my stomach, softer this time. “It’s just you and me now,” I whispered. And for the first time since everything happened, I felt something close to peace. IRELAND It has been over a month. A whole month of breathing without fear. Ireland feels like a memory I stepped back into. The air is softer here; it doesn’t suffocate.
