I clenched my fists, my wolf stirring inside me. I turned back to Skye, "It seems we have to postpone our conversation, there's something that requires my immediate attention." Her gaze flickered with concern as she looked at me, "What's happening?" I shrugged, "Trouble, most likely." I didn't want to tell her it was Jayleen. Not yet, not until I was sure of her loyalty. She nodded, her brows furrowed. As I turned to leave, I felt a strange sensation. I looked back to see Skye staring at the painting. She was more than her mother's daughter; she was a witch and she had powers. Powers that could help us.

She always did have a little crush on me. I didn’t want to mate with a lower-ranked she-wolf of course, but in that moment, I saw an opportunity. I was going to use Skye to make Eliana jealous. Skye and I had always had a special friendship since we were little and I could remember times when Eliana had been jealous of my closeness to her so I knew that it would be easy.

Oh, Katja… I think I am finally going to be in a good Pack… “Are you ready? I’m going to shift and you can hop on,” Skye pointed to his back and I suddenly felt nervous. “Don’t worry, I won’t let you fall. It’ll be a quick ride, less than ten minutes, with my speed.” He said, followed by a playful wink. I let out a deep breath before nodding my head. “Okay. Let’s do this.” Just like Skye said, time flew by so much faster. Honestly, if it were me, I wouldn’t have minded a few more minutes being on his wolf, Blu.

I walked him to the door and watched him get into his old pickup truck and drove away. Just then, Skye walked out of the pack clinic. Our eyes met and he looked away from me and turned to a smiling Luna holding his hand and he squatted to her level. I stood there staring at him and when our eyes met again and his gaze held mine, I felt my heart flip over.

Skye howled in Shaun's mind, excited for a fight and an opportunity to have some control. The two warriors lunged at Shaun again; he stepped back to dodge one but didn't move fast enough causing the warrior's claws to scratch his side. Grimacing a little bit, Shaun reached out and caught the other warrior by his face. Without a second's hesitation, he slammed the warrior to the ground, using as much strength as he could. The warrior had underestimated Shaun's strength and didn't brace himself. Shaun could still hear his breathing, but his body was motionless underneath him. Shaun's claws and canines extended as he gave Skye partial control in order to heal faster. He snapped his head up just

SKYE I never expected sitting on my stepdad’s lap to turn out so… interesting. But it did. My name is Skye, I turned twenty two months ago and I wanna tell you a secret. We’re all huddled in mom’s van going camping. By ‘we’, I mean the entire family. Me, my younger sisters, Ivy and Maeve, my mom and my step-dad, Parker.

Hakan warned as he stopped right next to Skye who has her eyes focused solely on the first claw machine that got her interest. “Despite how short I am compared to you, I am an adult and can handle myself. If I do ever get lost, I can ask around. So, please, for the love of god, don’t smother me,” she mumbled at him. If it wasn’t for the Alpha’s enhanced hearing and their proximity he might have never heard what she had said. “I’ve already had enough of people smothering me.” She added but this time a faint whisper. “All right then. Go ahead and have fun. Just don’t go to any rides yet.” Skye just ignored the Alpha as she continued on playing on the claw machine, intending to win and take hom

˙❥ VALKYRIE Our feet dug into the damp earth as we plunged deeper into the forest. Our footsteps were hushed on stones and tall grasses. “You are sure we won't be caught?” My voice came out shaky. Almost trembling. “Yeah. This is where Azi takes her training.” Skye gave me a brief glance. He was ahead, his body snatched and fit within his slightly-tight warrior coat. He moved seamlessly, like he didn't have two Omegas trailing behind him, who might be punished if caught.

Her dark red lips fell apart and she said, “She is ready!” The she-wolf was none other than Kayla Creswell. Kayla passed an infuriating glance at Skyla who was crying incessantly on the backseat. Skyla was unconscious while she was made to sit inside the car. The journey to the Crystal Blue Pack territory from the Red Moon Pack was 2 hours long. Kayla was a bit worried when the territory was getting close but Skyla was still unconscious. So, Kayla decided to wake her up by splashing some water on her face and bringing her to her senses.

They are all about to pass out] I said through the mind link to Colton, Paul, Clay, Neil, Abby Tommy, Zeke, Stone, Alvin, Owen and Vic. Colton's head snapped up to scan the area and immediately focused on Skye. He made a bee line for her and scooped her up in his arms as I did the same to Kitty. Kitty sent me an annoyed look as I sat in the grass with her in my lap as Skye yelled at Colton. "I think she's his mate." I whispered to Kitty to distract her as I nodded towards Colton and Skye that were now sitting like we were. Skye kept trying to push out of his lap but Colton would just shake his head and pull her back.
