Alastor looked back with a smirk, “Animal blood. It's a lot of them, Warrick kills wild animals like mosquitoes. That's a sign he's close by.”
We finally got to the end of the cave, but it was empty.
“Is this it?” I asked breathing heavily. “Are you sure he didn't leave this blood here so he could fool you into thinking he was here?”
“I can feel him around Melonie, be alarmed,” he retorted.
I exhaled sharply, looking around nervously.
Suddenly, Warrick walked out of nowhere, but he wasn't alone. A woman was standing next to him.
“My children,” Warrick uttered, “It's so great to see you.”
