Her Unexpected Alpha

Her Unexpected Alpha

Amira was starting to panic, fearing the worst. As Amira was about to give up hope, she spotted a small, glowing light in the distance. She followed it to the edge of the forest, where she found a small, flickering lantern. The lantern seemed to be guiding her deeper into the woods, and she hesitated for a moment, uncertain of what to do. But she was driven by her determination to find Kimora, and she followed the lantern into the darkness. As she walked, the trees seemed to close in around her, and the shadows grew longer and deeper.

The Forgotten Heiress: Rise of The Lycan Queen

The Forgotten Heiress: Rise of The Lycan Queen

And so, in those places where fear had once thrived, they planted lanterns. Spiral lanterns—soft-glowing, etched with the sigil of Elara’s spiral, woven with the golden threads of stardust and the translucent veins of dreamroot. Each one was a living vow: We remember what it cost to build this peace. We honour it. We protect it, every dusk, every dawn. At night, when the wind carried voices and old ghosts tried to find their way home, the lanterns flared a little brighter, pushing back the shadows—not with force, but with memory.

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

12:08 AM — Sector D, Lanterncross Silhouette Path The evening here did not drop in shadow—it settled in stages of golden light. Lanterns fashioned from the hulks of old signal casings dangled on wire arches, low enough that they swayed gently with the wind, and cast revolving silhouettes against the way. Elira moved slowly under them, her hand running along the rim of a worn orange casing. It had once been a danger beacon. Now, it shone gold with tranquil intent. One of the maintenance men walked by her, nodding, carrying a pouch of substitute bulbs. "Some of these have been used in the old relay towers. Before the rewiring." "And now?" she inquired. "They're still warnings," the worker answ

LIGHT AFTER DARK

LIGHT AFTER DARK

Black as the darkest night hair against a crisp linen pillow, brown skin against a blindingly white sheet, and tiger’s eyes burning with deliberate cruelty and triumph into hers. In horrified rejection of the imagery that had sprung into her mind, Lara Anderson shuddered violently, dimly aware that she was still in the grip of severe shock. Abruptly, she was dredged from her turmoil by the insistent shrill of the telephone in the hall. Reluctantly she answered the summons, carefully shutting the lounge door behind her so that her father was not disturbed.

Moonlit Packmates

Moonlit Packmates

When I was sure Bri was satisfied, we headed back to the tree for our clothes and shifted back to our human form As we headed back to the pack, a little girl ran to us crying. "What is it dear?" Emma asked, confused. "Please Luna come and heal my mother, she has been down with the illness for some time now but today she got worse and can't even speak". She said amidst tears. "Let's go," I said. We both follow the girl as she leads us to her house. We get to the house to find the girl's mother on the bed while her father wipes her body. He steps away as he sees us and I walk up to the woman. "I don't know what to do". I say to Bri confused. Place your hand on her chest Bri replies. I place my

I mean Cara’s kidnapped, tortured, raped, violated and then is rescued and has a psychotic breakdown then is all of a sudden better and has sex with the phantom. I was assaulted not raped or anything and it took me a year to even start to mentally recover and trust new people

Finally, a really good book. Quite well written, great characters, awesome plot and a nice believable HEA ending. Strong female characters, shaped with respect, as it should be. Very well done, author, worth of my time, gems and money. This is how all mafia related books should be written. 5 stars.

The First of Her Kind

The First of Her Kind

He then switched off all the lights in the courtyard, eliciting gasps of excitement as the glowing lanterns illuminated the night. Amani stepped onto an elevated platform, holding two lanterns—one for her father and one for her mother. With a deep breath, she released them, and the crowd watched in awe as they floated gracefully into the night sky. Following her lead, everyone released their lanterns simultaneously, creating a mesmerizing display that none had ever witnessed before.

My Hockey Alpha

My Hockey Alpha

The vendor handed us a small candle to place inside. Enzo carefully lit the candle, and we watched as the lantern slowly filled with air, growing brighter. “Ready?” he asked. “Ready,” I replied, feeling a sense of excitement. Together, we released the lantern, watching as it rose into the night sky, its light joining the others already floating up high. It was a breathtaking sight, the lanterns like stars against the dark canvas of the night. I turned to Enzo, about to comment on the beauty of it all, but the words died on my lips. He was looking at me, his eyes reflecting the lantern’s light, filled with an emotion I couldn’t quite place.

Love this story. It is thrillingly mysterious. The love and lust is palpable. Some of it seems to be written a little immaturely. Maybe that's how the character arc was supposed to relay, and we feel them mature. There are also 2 chapters that are repeated almost verbatim. Otherwise,I'd give 5 stars

This book is so good! I love how complex it is. I’ve been reading it for the past two weeks and just finished it! I’m so sad and so badly hope the author is writing more chapters as I speak! I’ve had a lot going on in my life and head and this book has been the best to help! My bf is jealous of it!

The Carpathian Prophecy Of Alpha's Love

The Carpathian Prophecy Of Alpha's Love

Lerder: “But she’ll choose—to stand, or to overshadow.” Eluna: “She stands. Beside us, not above.” Before bed, Hannah lit a single lantern of her own—engraved with rune representing hope and vigilance. She carried it to the Boundary Marker. Moonlight danced. Silently, she whispered: “May every light we raise chase the unseen—together.” The lantern’s glow joined old ones—her sign of continuing legacy.

The Lost Pack

The Lost Pack

It’s the perfect mix of mine and Paige’s. Behind us, Callen is stringing lanterns through the branches, each one flickering to life in a soft golden glow in the dimming light. “The lanterns are all set,” he calls down, sounding pleased with himself. “They will guide her straight here.” “Good,” I answer, though my mind is already racing to the next detail. Remy crouches near the new candles he’s just set down, shielding a match from the breeze. He mutters something under his breath about the wind direction and making sure nothing goes out.

Loving this book so far! Author, as many have stated in the chapter comments, 291 & 292 are repeat chapters from 283 & 284. Though I do believe they should be at 291/292 (makes more sense) and not 283/284.
