One of the forbidden promises, which is the strengthening promise, is running in our blood.” She explained.

This is what humans do to keep promises in a friendly way, right?” Her face turned brighter, as Hailey wrapped my pinky around with her own. “Yeah!” “Really? That’s how humans keep promises?” came a familiar voice. One that brought cold shivers down my spine.

He said assuring her. "Pinky Promise?" She asked showing her small pinky finger to him. He looked at her. "What's that?" He asked raising his brow. "Pink promise means you can't break your promise. Or your nose will turn pink." She said and his lips again twitched at her illogical words. "Yes. Pinky promise." He said. But she tangled her small pink finger with his and let it stay there. Her breathing slowed within minutes, soft and even. Zavier stared ahead at the city lights beyond the glass. A child slept beside him.
