I was gasping for air when he spoke up again. "What's the cute ship called?" I raised my eyebrows. My grin couldn't be removed while thinking. "What?" "Cute boat.” We laughed together. His face is really hilarious! Imagine someone as muscular as him throwing nasty jokes. Lol! "There's more!" he said, tasting more. "Oh you have so many pockets..." He smirked. "What does a broom car sound like?" My lips immediately parted. I paused and thought. "Huh? Witch?!" He roared with laughter.

Then in an attempt to prove his point, he looped his arm around the neck of a fellow pirate. “Didn’t the captain once tell us before that his beard is his beer, yes? He keeps them well-maintained, and classical, and…and…..” He trailed off as he racked his brain trying to think what was next to what he was saying. At this point, the guy’s words were getting more and more incomprehensible but the other guy grabbed was eager to listen and so he prodded the other to its ribs and insinuated, “And what?” “And old fashion and strong!”

“The Discordian.” “You… you tricked us into coming out here! Fooled us into turning ourselves over to a bunch of pirates!” “Calm down. I’ve done no such thing. You’re acting like parlaying with a pirate’s some kind of death sentence.” “Maybe if they hadn’t shot at me so many times before, I wouldn’t see it that way.” “It’s not like they were shooting at you, personally. They’re pirates. They shoot at everything.” “Is that supposed to make me feel better?”

Hunter stated. “All of these are going to end in death, darling.” I reminded him. “Ooh, I get to go next!” Zeke said in excitement. “The loudest pirate was Morton ‘Devil’s Charm’ Tyde he lived dangerously and was always ready to die. He loved causing trouble and starting fights; he'd spook the crew when they’d turn off the lights. He laughed much too loud and always made jokes. He was never quiet whenever he spoke. He welcomed death daily and just didn’t care, until his head was chopped off and flew through the air. Now he hold head in his hands and makes himself laugh, while his body tap dances on his head’s behalf.”

A bunch of Hares appeared from inside the ship. Judging from their vests and sashes and - were those actually swords? - the pirates had arrived. A few of them also had pistols. I lay beside him as he wrapped his arms around me before letting out a deep and heavy sigh. "Why don't pirates take a shower before they walk the plank?" My brows furrowed as I looked up to him. "They just wash up on the shore." He looked down at me with a serious face. What is he saying? But that phrase seems familiar to me though. "Did you just joke?" "Yeah, isn't it funny?" He's still wearing his poker face. I scoffed as I ran my legs to his thigh. "You didn't even laugh." This time, he chuckled and it felt so good to my ears. "Because I don't find it funny and was curious if it's really funny to other people."

The other pirate who just came over bellowed as well, "Hurry up, you bastard! Stop wasting time!" Liam shook his head calmly and said, "I don't have money. I don't have any valuables either." The two pirates were taken back. They did not believe what Liam said. They then pulled Liam up roughly by his collar and searched him. The result was evident. They did not even find a single penny on him, much less valuables. "Damn it! What bad luck I have! You're broke!" one of the pirates cursed and pushed Liam away. He thought everybody on the yacht was wealthy people from Drunham City. He did not expect a broke person like Liam would be there.

I winked back at him. Then I found Sylvia. - "We will not make as much money as usual." she said. "But tonight is different, and many of our regular customers seem to be enjoying themselves." Most of the Pirate Lords had lost the money we'd staked them, except for Jerian the Older, who had won 300 from us, and then stopped. And Rymogo, who was up 1200, and having a whale of a time. I saw Cremyne and Syrava. One ignored me, the other scowled.

The pirate asked in a deceptively calm tone. "We just not noticed. Just like you, our eyes have been on the shore. Oh look! That ship's mast is tilted. Guess I was right, four ships are in trouble." Xander rubbed his forehead. "I am surrounded by idiots," he mumbled, suddenly missing his former first mate that he had killed for stealing. "Captain?" The first mate asked, not understanding. "One, plus one, plus two, plus one equals five…" the pirate captain was on the edge of losing it as he held up five fingers.

Nikolai said. "That's not fair!" Pascal pouted. Then, trying to be helpful: "I know a joke! Why did the dinosaur cross the road?" "Why?" Tiana managed to gasp out between laughs. "Because chickens weren't invented yet!" Pascal dissolved into giggles at his own joke. The innocent sound of her son's laughter only made Tiana laugh harder, this strange, broken sound that didn't feel like it belonged to her at all. "Mommy thinks my joke is really funny!" Pascal said proudly. "Tell another one! Why can't you hear a pterodactyl going to the bathroom?"
