The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

Roman was a gifted local poet who was great at writing poetry. Penny sized Roman up before gently saying, “Sir, please start your poetry recitation.” “Hmm.” Roman nodded. He took up the microphone and walked two steps forward on the stage before slowly reciting. “Autumn brings the winter breeze. “Three parts were bone-chilling. “Seven parts were moon-drinking. “Don’t be melancholic for the nights are sleepless and endless.” “Wow!” The entire crowd gasped and cheered. ‘Great poem. Such a great poem! He could create such a great poem in less than fifteen minutes. Roman really has a deep literature understanding and background!’

Peter chuckled, raised his head, began to read, his voice soft and tender, “Hungry, hungry, hungry, looking up at the horizon, blue water with white feathers, goose feet……Goose feet……(⊙o⊙) )…..forgot the pepper!” (Premium goods : "Goose, geese, two geese Looking up at the horizon. Blue water showing white feathers Pink rowing pushes blue waves") “Push….” )O ha ha…” “This kid is so cute.” Everyone waiting at the bus station to hear Peter read the poem had a reaction. ∩_∩yeah, a little angry, obviously I read well just now.Peter raised his head to look at Jenny with big watery eyes, twisted his fat body and called, "mom..."

It was surprising our Alpha and Luna had let her move there, considering she was very much human. Mrs. Juniper absolutely adored poetry, mostly the classics. I’d never forget the endless headaches I suffered trying to decipher what Shakespeare, Robert Frost, and Alfred Tennyson were trying to convey. Why poets had to make such simple lessons so confusing was beyond me. Why did they have to use pretty words to convey truth? ‘This doesn’t seem to be so hard.’ Rayna countered, murmuring the words to the poem in my head. ‘It mentions beasts twice, which has to be the bulls, right?’

Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.

The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

he said gently. “Good. Because I’d lie and say no,” she whispered, a soft smile tugging at her lips. He chuckled on the other end. “Want a bedtime poem?” “You write poems now?” “No,” he said. “I collect them.” She curled into her sheets, exhaustion hanging heavy in her bones. “Go on.” He read, voice low and steady. May the nights be soft, even when the past knocks. May your voice be steady, even when your hands shake.

The Shadow Effect

The Shadow Effect

"Let's read poetry this evening. The words are so hauntingly beautiful and you will make them just sing off of the page. Here try this." Anders let his eyes wander across the page and read the words to himself, but then the cloaked figure said to him, "Outloud, Anders. I want to hear you read the beautiful words outloud." He read each word with clarity, thinking 'This is such a haunting poem.' "Wind and willow, come take me back to where the worlds meet, and bring me fractured to the sea, let my soul carry me to places and shores where my eyes will never see.

Mated to the Alpha Knight

Mated to the Alpha Knight

An hour later, after searching for anything to help us within books that ranged from brand new to hundreds of years old, I huffed with disappointment and decided to stretch my legs; my pale finger trailed over the spines of books, dust painting my fingertip. Once I reached the poetry section, I smiled brightly. All around me were books from Silvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickson, Robert Frost, and many others that were like my old friends. Taking a random book off the shelf, I flipped through its contents. "(...) Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home." ~ Tecumseh "You enjoy poetry too?" A familiar voice spoke behind me, making my heart speed up as I jumped slightly. Turn

Good story but some events that occurred had no impact on the story and I wondered why they were included unless it’s revealed in the next book, e.g., the Truth Lake 🤷🏻‍♀️ when she got bitten by the snake in the lake, what did that all mean🤷🏻‍♀️ Mind I did skim read a lot of it so could have mis

The Midnight Sorceress

It wasn't long before she found out that she could read everything despite very slowly. It was a poem, which read as follows: 'It was the Coming of the Midnight Sun, A daughter of the Sacred Wood, Lay in a chamber of the House of the Moon, And thus shall wither like a dying star Til the touch of a virgin at dawn.'

Sky says as she jesters with her hands to me. I took a couple of deep breaths before I began to read my poem out loud. Gathering my nerves before I speak. Lifeless Lost and alone left empty without a home. Watching as the wind blows, chattering through hollow bones. Words are nothing but a sound cracking and breaking with each bound. A girl once set to sore left with oozing pores, born in a world torn in two. Amber eyes stare into the starry skies, locks of blonde hair ripped from a head now bare. A face that once held so much grace, revealing split flesh tattered like mesh. Words are nothing but a sound cracking and breaking with each bound. Tears shed out of so many fears, crying in the da

Night Of His Obsession

Night Of His Obsession

It was a heartfelt ode to white tulips, their delicate petals symbolizing purity and new beginnings. I couldn't help but be captivated by the imagery woven into the verses, each line resonating with a sense of hope and renewal. It was as if the poem had been written just for me, a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there was always the promise of a fresh start. Lost in the beauty of the words, I barely noticed as the reader returned to my station, a curious expression on her face. "Is everything okay?" she asked, her concern evident in her voice.
