Memories flooded my mind, a newborn baby, a silver haired woman crying, a ritual circle glowing beneath a blood moon, a soul being divided, split, broken apart. The Queen's voice echoed through the vision. "When they could not claim me..." Pain flashed across her face. "I made a choice." The images shifted, darkness, magic, sacrifice, a child, me. The Queen closed her eyes. "I hid myself." Understanding crashed into me. No. No, that wasn't possible. The Queen opened her eyes. "You are not my descendant, Thea." The world stopped. The flowers, the trees, the moonlight, everything gone. Only her words remained. You are not my descendant.

Blood ran across her lifeline, blackened at the edges, then curled toward the vial as if recognizing a sister crime. “I preserved her first blood before Tala ran, before Rudina died, before anyone knew which daughter would become the better key.” Adolphus smiled again, wide and reverent, as the throne opened its black bone arms toward the vial. She opened the book and put it on the table, in the circle of the three item she just took out of the box, and then took a step aside and waited for the Queen. The Queen stuck her finger in Erebus's wound, and with a light groan from Erebus, her hand was covered in his blood. "Do you know what we are doing today?" The Queen asked as she stood behind the table, as if nothing was wrong with her bloody hand. "I'm sure you will let me know." Jane bowed, "Are we using a criminal’s blood in the spell as well?" The Queen smiled at her with a mysterious look: "That's not just any man. From the tip of his heart, grew the flower of life. His blood would smooth the infusion."

She said because he would not defend her, she aimed to make the rest of his life hell by sticking him with the one responsibility that he never wanted. Shortly after he was crowned King, he sent more armies after her and anybody associated with her. This included her chosen mate, parents, and siblings. But then, watching the same people over and over again gets boring overtime. Diving into the book, I reopen to one of my favorite parts of the lycan battles. It is the chapter where the lycan king was brought to his knees by the queen, and makes she him beg her for his life. He wasn’t expecting her, or that she would even do something like that. It is what makes me like it more. I feel like I relate to the queen well. She has always been undermined and underrated, then she wound her full potential and—

“No…no…noooo! Jazell turns to look at Vashi before lighting up the wooden box, and it slowly erupts in flames. “You should be happy; what a privilege it is to be sent away to the afterlife…by a queen.” Jazell said in a dreadful tone, as the reflection of the flames dazzled in her crystal blue eyes. Vashi screamed, her skin withering, just as Viper burned. Her face lost shape as it melted. The royal family watched with predatory gaze, not flinching at the scene in front of them. There was another queen leaning on the railings of the upper deck… Jia Veythar… The burning flames ignited in her dark eyes as the screams of Vashi sounded like music to her ears.

I nod and smile up at her. She holds her hand out and a golden staff apears. I immediately bow down and she dubs me Queen of werewolves by tapping the staff on both of my shoulders. "I now dub thee Mackenzie Roseline Lathen as Queen of werewolves and Luna of the royal pack. Do you accept?" She asks and I look up at her.

“Vivienne, how does it feel to spend five years as a counterfeit consort?” She took a slow step closer, her tone soft but venomous. “Oh, and Mia is my daughter. You didn’t know that, did you?” She moved nearer until I could clearly see the contempt in her eyes. “My Blood Covenant with Ethan is the one recorded in the Blood Registry.
