Rage Virus Eyes Novels & Stories

I blinked open my eyes to see Rage, his blood red eyes not so red and filled with what I could only describe as humor as though he found something amusing. As if to make sure I was properly awake, he ran his wide tongue -which happened to be the cause of the wet feeling- up the side of my face once again. Feeling my face scrunch up in disgust, I turned my face away. “Stop that, Rage”, I murmured as I brought myself up to a sitting position. And of course Rage saw my apparent disgust as an encouragement to continue because he immediately began licking my face and hair until I was a giggling mess.

I slow it down next and when that’s done, I take out the sunlight. The bolt of sunlight explodes into a shower of rain like sun drops. Rafie stares at me, bewildered yet calculating. He nods and walks towards me, only stopping when his hand is around the rear of my neck and his eyes are staring directly into mine. I see the new green eyes reflected in his and I can't help the way it makes me feel. I feel like I'm staring back at a lizard. My eyes do not have a sea green hue or a forest green color, they’re green like a murky bog.

I ran my gaze on all the pack members and then my eyes fell on that girl who was acting all scared trying to hide behind Russel, the Beta of my pack. Romeo followed my gaze and tried to clear his throat, “I … I tried to mind link you but …” just then he frowned looking at my face, “Your eyes. They have turned silver.” “She was sick, my Alpha.” I heard David’s voice behind me. “Dr. Sebastian has strictly instructed her not to let out her wolf and give it maximum rest. She got a high fever in your absence and remained unconscious for five days. It’s normal to change eye color in a prolonged period of fever.”

Gia sat up again. She noticed Raven’s eyes were puffy and red. It wasn’t obvious, but Gia could spot even the most minor differences in those eyes. She had seen them open to greet her hundreds of mornings. Gia’s mind swirled with fear. Raven didn’t cry easily. Even on their wedding day, he held back his tears with all his might. If Raven had shed tears enough to make his eyes puffy, something serious must have happened. "Am I sick?" Gia asked. Images of every dangerous illness began to dance in her mind.

She looked at me intensely without batting her eyes. “Hey! Blink your eyes. Otherwise, your eyes will be dry and sore. I don’t want to take care of you if you get sore eyes later.” Kanya lazily turned her gaze forward. “If I hurt my eyes, the sign is I can’t see anything weird anymore.” “You won’t be able to write later. Don’t underestimate sore eyes because it feels very uncomfortable when your vision is disturbed. So, just follow my words.” “Yeah, yeah,” She lazily replied.

They wouldn't be able to hide for so long without making a mistake on their part. “Yeah…their eye color would change back to normal, which is always black, whenever they are triggered or angry”. Raven's eye color had always been gray, and when she was angered it turned more grayish. “You don’t think they have been the one attacking us all this while”. Gale said, his brows furrowed in thought. “No thier method of killing is quite crafty, they can kind of suck out the life of the person with their dark spells, without hurting them physically”.

His cologne was so strong it stung my eyes. “Hey! What the hell are you doing? Get off me!” This man was surrounded by the dark black aura. It was swirling menacingly all around him. He moved his face so his eyes looked straight into my own. They were so frightening, they were brown with a blood red tint around the edge. They were so harsh looking. As I glared back into his eyes I saw a fly crawl over his eyeball and crawl back behind his eye. It made me want to wretch. When he spoke it was as if is eyes were boring into mine, trying to take control of me.

Rafael remarked, and they all began walking away, leaving me, Bryan, and Rafael in the room. When I sighed, Rafael turned his attention towards me. "Astrid, are you okay?" he asked. "I am," I said. "I know something is bothering you; please tell me," he said as he took my hands in his. Considering the worst that could happen, I asked the first thing that came to mind. "Is it normal for vampires to change their eye color depending on their mood?" "Yes, we all have that depending on our moods, and each hue has its own meaning," he stated.

I took a deep breath, inhaled and exhaled air into my lungs, and then closed my eyes tightly. Magnus placed his right hand in my head and said, "Dear, it's now time to put you to sleep." Startled, my eyes flew open. "What? Why? Is that necessary?" I asked worriedly. "Because I have to fight with the thick smoke residing in your eyes," Magnus revealed the truth. "What? You mean to say that the thick, dark smoke covering my eyes is alive?" I asked, shocked to the core. I was horrified to learn that a parasite was living in my eyes.

Unlike any other human gaze I had encountered, hers shimmered with an otherworldly radiance, reminiscent of stars sparkling upon a midnight canvas. Her natural eye color transcended the conventional hazel shade, revealing occasional flickers that had caught my attention on multiple occasions. Initially, I hadn't paid it much heed, dismissing it as a trivial peculiarity. However, now, as her eyes shimmered once more, I couldn't ignore it. Vampires' eye pupil tends to flicker to red when they are hungry for blood, agitated, desirous, or experiencing other intense sensations that could trigger a transformation. The crimson flicker of a vampire's pupils held a profound meaning.
