Raven reached carefully for her ribs, fingers precise, expression focused, “Tell me if this hurts.”
She hissed softly, then exhaled, “It hurts but it is not wrong.”
Raven nodded once, satisfied, “Two cracked, not broken, your wolf will push the healing through in hours now that the binding is gone.”
I leaned closer, unable to help myself, “Hours.”
“Yes,” Raven replied, “she will be sore, not fragile.”
Bailey looked up at me then, eyes steady, “I am not fragile.”
“I know,” I said immediately, then softened it, “I just need to hear it said out loud sometimes.”
