Broken Wings
Red finally released the man’s wrist, and he yanked it back, cradling it like a broken wing.
“Touch one of the girls again,” Red said, tone flat now, “and I’ll show you how creative I can get.”
The guy nodded frantically and slunk down into his seat, red-faced and humiliated.
Raven stared, her tray still in her hands. “I didn’t even notice…”
Red shrugged, “You shouldn’t have to.” Already turning away, his eyes scanning the room like nothing had happened.
Raven stood there for a moment, still processing. Her tray felt heavier than before. She hadn't even noticed the guy until he screamed—and Red had been right there, already moving.
