Rejected By The Alpha Claimed By The Lycan King Althea Novels & Stories

For the pain inflicted upon me has become the fuel that will ignite my transformation, propelling me toward a future where my strength will be my guiding light. POV: LIAM Reluctantly, I found myself compelled to attend the gathering, as it was my solemn duty as the Lycan King. The Dawn Rise pack, while not boasting superior strength or wealth, managed to thrive and survive through the strength of their alliances. Despite the Alpha and Luna's lack of intellectual acumen, their dedication and earnest efforts as leaders were admirable. As the celebratory event commenced, an announcement reverberated through the air, revealing the decision to pass on the mantle of Alpha to their son, Dylan. It w

I shifted back a little, trying to piece together what was going on. "You slapped the Lycan king?" Alpha Jackson asked. He looked somewhat disappointed in me. "Why don't you ask him what he did?" I fired, facing the man. I didn't know he was the Lycan king but that didn't make what he did right. "What did I do?" He asked daringly. I looked unbelievably at him as he tried to deny my claims. His eyes turned golden yellow, as though daring me to speak up. His aura sent chills down my spine and for some time, I lost my voice. He seemed so dangerous. I felt if he looked at me for another minute, I would drop dead.

He wanted to say something but Xee didn't allow him. I saw raw horror flashing in his orbs as Xee said, "I, Lycan King, Xander Stoneheart, dismiss you, Ethan Blackwood, as the Alpha of the Silverclaw pack. From this moment on, you are no longer under my reign and protection. You are now forbidden to enter my territory." As soon as he lifted off the King's command, Ethan jerked up and started running toward the door. My feet felt heavy and my head dizzy when I stepped inside the hall.

“Pretty. Convenient. Wrong.” The hearth fire snapped orange. Normal. Listening. “In human memory, Amara was a rebel queen before she was a bride. The Lycan king did not rescue her. She rescued half his border towns from the First Alpha’s raids before he decided she was either a threat or an answer.” Cassian’s eyes moved to the carving. I watched him from the corner of my eye. “Did you know that version?” I asked quietly. His jaw tightened. “Parts.” Althea continued.

I felt my wolf surge hard against my control, old fury and fierce protectiveness tangling together into something I no longer had any interest in suppressing. "Then withdraw," I said. The chamber went utterly silent. "Your Majesty?" Malachar's composure flickered, genuine surprise breaking briefly through his careful mask. "I said withdraw." I let my voice carry the full weight of authority I'd spent ten years building, cold and absolute. "Any Alpha in this chamber unwilling to stand behind their King's own choice of mate is welcome to withdraw their support entirely, effective immediately. I won't hold it against you publicly, and I won't punish your packs for your Alpha's decision. But und

"Alaric, get up. Please get up. PLEASE..." "No..." I sniffled. "No, you promised. You promised you would protect me. You promised..." I refused to believe that he was gone as the bond went silent. "ALARIC!" I screamed with everything I had, my voice breaking. "NO! COME BACK! PLEASE COME BACK!" "He's gone," Viktor said coldly. "The Lycan King is dead. Long live the new era." "I'll kill you," I sobbed, still fighting even as the sedative dragged me down. "I'll kill all of you. I'll rip you apart..."

he pleaded like the coward he was. “I am the Jolene, Ruler of the Lycans, the Lycan King. Rightful Mate of Alpha Maverick. You hurt my pack, you hurt my brother, and you hurt my mate. Yet you have the audacity to ask me to show you mercy,” she scoffs, “I will show you the same treatment that you showed my people. You shall be starved and beaten every day in the prison until you give up. Guards, take him away, I want to hear his screams from the prison.”

One of the eunuchs to the Alpha announced my entry, and the subjects bowed. "Here comes King Arlo, from the Lycan territories. The beloved mate of our Alpha–Prince, Jordy!" I approached the end of the hall, just where the steps to the podium started. Alpha Hillary and his Luna beamed with smiles and silent nods. Alpha Hillary was looking more scrawny and faded. It incited my fear that he could be seriously sick. More than he was letting on.

"I, Leah Steen of the Lycan King's Pack, reject you, Lucas Lavoie of Kingfisher Pack." The words hung between us, heavy and final. His eyes widened, shock breaking through his mask. He stepped closer, crowding me against the wall, his hands slamming against the wood on either side of my head. "What did you say?" he growled, his voice low, almost a snarl. I lifted my chin, meeting his gaze without flinching. "You've heard me. I reject you. I want a divorce." His breath hitched, his hands trembling where they pressed against the wall. For a moment, I thought he might break - might shout, might strike, might do something to prove he was still the Alpha, still in control.

Natgy said and then a deeper voice took over the following silence. “And that’s where I come in.” The Lycan King rose up from my throne. “Now that the real Alpha Queen is here, I ask you to choose between surrendering and maybe having a chance to be one of my servants, or resisting and suffering my wrath.” The Lycan King said, his voice becoming more stern. A wave of silence swept in as everyone waited on my response. It was a threading question coming from a mighty man with a mighty army. But then I feared no mighty man. “I choose to kill you.”
