The air suddenly became thicker. Alpha Alaric let the silence stretch before speaking. "Vesper is a very strong she-wolf." Kyrell was growing tired of hearing that. "A union with her would secure your claim to the alpha position and solidify your chances of making strong pups." He leaned in. "You know this." "I know." Kyrell said. "Then explain to me why you returned without her." Alpha Alaric said, his calm demeanor wavering. There was no way Kyrell could tell his father the truth. They advanced toward the lycan king but were immediately blocked by other lycan soldiers. Without a care and with the fury raging inside them, they lunged at the lycans, and a rather short fight broke out.
