"No mercy!" We continued to fight, to push on. All for my Luna. I forced my way upright, chest burning, lungs full of smoke. Around me the survivors stumbled, coughing, weapons slick with mud. Thunder rolled again, louder this time. I raised my blade to the storm, the sigil on my chest blazing gold through torn armor. My roar ripped free, half man, half beast, echoing through the valley. Far beyond the ward, hidden behind his fortress of shadow, Killian smiled.

“You still don’t understand. The balance was never whole to begin with. Your precious key, your relic—it is nothing more than a flawed tool. And now you cling to it like it will save you.” The ground beneath them trembled as the figure raised an arm. Tendrils of dark energy erupted from the floor, coiling toward the group like living shadows. Vivienne was the first to move, her dagger flashing as she sliced through one of the tendrils. The severed shadow recoiled but quickly re-formed, lunging toward her again. “Crane, figure out what’s happening with the relic!” she shouted, dodging the tendrils with sharp, calculated movements. “We’ll hold this thing off.”

A faint blue glow emanated from the walls, like spirits lurking within the shadows. At last, they entered a vast chamber surrounded by towering stone pillars. In the center of the room, embedded in another altar, a silver-blue sword pulsed with a mystical glow. Aria froze. She didn’t know how, but she knew that sword. Lorian stepped forward, eyes widening. "This…" Rael shook his head in disbelief. "The Legendary Blade…" Aria turned to them. "What do you mean?" Lorian met her gaze. "This is the Sword of Light—the only weapon capable of defeating Vaelin’s darkness. But it was lost centuries ago..."

Glacier pressed the attack mercilessly, aiming for the other eye. Roosevelt frowned. From thin air, the first Dark Blade—the original weapon he had ever forged—materialized in his hand. Raphael lost balance, cursing violently. “If that’s how you want it,” Raphael growled. He swung Frostbite wildly at Roosevelt. “Shadow Scale,” Roosevelt whispered. Raphael’s sword burst into flames and crumbled to ash in an instant. Shock flashed across his face.

Selene spat, pushing him back with a savage swing of the Lunaris Blade. Lucian’s smile was sharp, his eyes black pits of malice. “You think you can kill me with that relic? You think one Moon Blessed can stand against the darkness I’ve become?” A burst of power knocked her to her knees, shadows clawing at her mind, at her very soul. But even as darkness threatened to swallow her, Selene felt the light of the moon on her skin—a lifeline, a promise. The Lunaris Blade glowed brighter, humming with ancestral power.

The two blades hummed happily and floated next to Mane, causing the young Supreme to smile wryly. “Yes. I have missed you too Night Mare and Night’s Kiss.” Yes, the two blades that had appeared were Night Mare and Night’s Kiss. They were the source of dark energy that kept destroying Elder Minas’s body!
