Narrator's Pov Joe ran down the stairs. He had to run. How could he hear what these freakish demons were saying? They wanted to speak with him. Tell him what? He hated what was happening He was running in his patient clothes, no shoes. How did he get into this mess? He ran through the hallway and shut the door behind him. The demons seemed to rally behind the door, hitting against the door with all their might. Mina must have been lenient with her story. The Mitos were clearly his worst nightmare.

"You'll see when it's time, I'm going to the g/c's office now and when I do, you'll be outside recording the entire conversation I am about to have. Okay?" "Okay, Senior" "Don't call me that". He pointed and walked away. I followed. Daniel Jegede was tall, muscular and dark skinned, he had a maturely handsome face and looked more like a twenty year old than a seventeen year old. He had the long confident stride of a basketball and the arms of a wrestler. I started to wonder if he had used those hands to strangle Lola to death or if he was going to strangle me to death. I made it my business to walk at a safe distance from him in case I needed to start running for my dear life.

I answered coolly. He strutted across the room and went to stand in a glass window where the outside showed a good angle of the veranda and the Winner Family pool. He smiled, pleased over something that he saw. I wondered what it was then. What is advantageous of being a demon is that we get to read another person's mind. We can use it for or against them. But before an angel, we are helpless. It is either they have barriers in their too-holy brains or they are just dead on imagination. I prefer to think it is the latter.

“Let me introduce him to you. “This is Demon who ranks first in underground boxing. “His only hobby is to eat human flesh. Thomas Mayo, let’s feed him with your flesh today. “Demon, eat him!” Demon curved the corner of his lips slightly, and he rushed toward Thomas swiftly. His extremely high speed was incredible.

Jim wasn’t the most religious person, but he knew that whatever was chasing him wasn’t natural, and under those circumstances you needed something pretty big like God on your side. Jim set off at a jog, panting hard and trying to ignore the cramp in his leg and the stitch in his side. A third underground tormentor had joined the other two. He could feel it switch from one side of the path to the other, occasionally rumbling up behind him with menace.

His angel knew how to play games. "You want to play games hn?" He moved dragging her towards the car. "Let me show you my games." He said as he opened the car door for her. Ava's smirk vanished as red alarms started buzzing around him. She forgot she was messing with the demon but the thought she ruled over his heart and mind she relaxed a little. What he can do to me at most? "My games are little dirty hope you don't mind that?" He smirked rushing the car towards their small cottage. Saying he grabbed he exposed thigh as her breath hitched.

I tried to breathe but the bastard had its entire weight on my body, crushing my ribs and digging its claws into my arm. Snarling, I placed the palm of my hand on the ground. The runes on my arm burned red as the earth began to rumble. I turned to the demon and smiled as chains erupted from the ground. They shot through the monster's flesh, severing through its body fat and slicing off one of its breasts. I closed my eyes as a rain of flesh and vile blood rained down on me. I was going to need another fucking bath. I rolled onto my feet, my breath ragged as I scanned for the last monster. “Thrakos," I called as more chains curled out of my runes. "What the fuck are these–"

I questioned sharply, my stomach churning with revulsion. "We hunt demons that come from downstairs. The ones that have been found guilty of crime. And some like to be hunted. It's a game. Some demons here like to be chased. They like the sense of danger right on their tail. Others like to be the ones who chase." The other male said. "Give me a running demon every day. I'll catch it. And I will drink it's blood as reward." He said next, quickly looking at me and looking away again. I caught the glint of excitement in his dark eyes.

She ran away and left her alone in the hands of this demon. She looked at Eric who had a devilish smile on his face, then stared down at her stomach. ‘Maybe you were meant to be a mafia after all.’
