“I don’t have to show myself. You know me. You know me better than anyone. The truth is, I was the one who raised you. I was the one who made you into what you are. All you need to do is look… deep.” The whole street goes dark, bringing out the contrast of the dark eyes even more. I step back, and all of a sudden, the ground disappears. It becomes a perfect mirror of the darkening sky. I let out a scream, trying to run, but it feels like falling now. My feet can still touch something solid, but a force of gravity is yanking at me, making me feel like I’m getting absorbed into a sandpit. I stagger back, trying to get away. But the absence of movement in my feet makes me fall flat on my back.

" I took a proud sip of my soda on camera. After Gavin totally lost it, I ended the call. The scorching heat had lasted three months. Then one day, a single raindrop fell from the sky. It poured for three days and nights, and at last, the temperature dropped back to normal. Armed with an electric baton, I went to room 401, opened the door, and was hit with a stench so foul it's hard to describe. A decayed skeleton lay on the living room floor, barely any flesh left, probably Jennifer. I had not left any diesel for the generator. When it stopped, the heat soared. Jennifer's chewed-up bones started to rot.

It was so awkward and weird being completely naked in front of him and to top it off, he was also naked. I heard him sigh " good she is asleep, else I didn't know how I would control my wolf " he murmured. Nervousness started kicking in, I had forgotten that I was the worst actor out there, my body movements could easily tell that I wasn't asleep and if Sebastian failed to notice, then he must be blind. After a moment of stacked silence, I sensed a presence opposite me and I immediately knew something was wrong. Of course, it would be Sebastian but what was he doing standing right before me?

What has happened in the minutes that she'd fallen asleep in the office. Cerise hears footsteps resonating from the stairwell and a horde of aurums launch at her. In an instant, she makes a run for it but fails to do so as she's grabbed by the foot and thrown in the air. She raises her hand and drains all the oxygen in the room as quick as she could, but doing so drains her energy too. She sees all the aurums falling to their knees, coughing, strangling their necks in an attempt to grasp any sort of air. The last thing Cerise sees before passing out is Nicholas.

The tension in the line snapped, but not completely. But just enough. Enough to throw everything off. My grip faltered. The support failed. And suddenly— I wasn’t moving forward anymore. I was falling. The world tilted violently as gravity took over, my body dropping faster than my mind could process. There was no time to react. No time to correct. No time to fix it. It was just an impact. And then everything went black. * * *

Sebastian stumbled backward. One step. Then another. His gaze drifted toward Aurora. Toward the pendant. Toward the empire he had spent his entire life chasing. Then… His heel found empty air. The broken edge of the warehouse platform. His body tipped backward. For one impossible second… He seemed suspended between life and death. Then… He fell. The crash echoed through the warehouse. Silence followed. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Aurora slowly walked toward the edge. She looked down. Far below…

It was as if a film emerged in her mind and took hold of her entire body as if she were floating in an endless ocean with darkness washing over her face. "Aynur..." a gentle voice called out, but Alice, the little human girl who had witnessed her parents being murdered, knew that it was not precisely her whom that voice was seeking. "Don't do this to me, Aynur, don't leave me... don't abandon me, you promised me... Aynur!" Sobs could be heard as solid arms seemed to shake her body in search of an answer, but all Alice could see were the stars in a dark sky and a moon that seemed to rise in the background, a red moon that had taken too long to appear.

Right at that moment, Gavin came home and stepped in through the door too, with Lucas behind him. "Mom! Dad! You're back!" Stanley was just about to answer him when he suddenly noticed a huge hickey peeking out from beneath Gavin's white shirt collar. He immediately looked at Lucas, who shot him an apologetic smile. Everyone noticed the exchange, and suddenly, a series of embarrassed coughs echoed across the living room hall. Stanley shot to his feet and walked toward the door. "I think I stepped into the wrong house. I'm going out to calm down for a while."

Season 1, the first time I discovered the water was contaminated — the footage showed me holding my bowl, staring at the film of oil on the surface. My expression shifted from confusion to horror. I'd held that bowl for a full five seconds before I finally drank. The comment feed exploded that instant with a screen full of "Drink it! Drink it!" Season 2, Marcus breaking down the door. The first swing cracked it open. The second widened the gap. The third time, someone from outside sealed the gap back up. Marcus had stood in front of the resealed concrete for a long time before walking back. Season 3, Jake got "eliminated."

In the flickering light, her face twisted into something monstrous and wild. I was suddenly overcome with a wave of sickness, letting out a cry of agony. I writhed on the ground, but the invisible flames kept burning me. My entire body felt like it was on fire as I curled into a ball on the floor. My voice was raspy, a wild, beast-like roar escaping my lips: "I'm burning up, someone help me, please!" Joanna just stood there, watching with icy detachment, unmoved by my suffering. My friend, Melissa Jones, started shrieking at the top of her lungs, "Oh my gosh! Someone call 911 or something! Wren's got a demon in her!"
