He looked at Ruby, a faint smile on his lips, eyes full of meaning. Then, without mercy, he crushed Ruby's lips again. In the distance, behind a rose bush, Sarah stood frozen. Her eyes wide, her body stiff. She saw Alpha and his servant, intimately embracing. "My goodness!" Sarah shrieked sharply, breaking the silence of the night. Alpha Dexter immediately broke the kiss. His eyes blazed with anger. He saw someone running away.

I crept even closer as my grip on the knife's hilt tightened. The man seemed lost. "She… Where is she…" Just as I was in range, he suddenly flew into a rage, roaring loudly. "She's dead! She's dead! You have to die too! I want you dead!" His sudden outburst caught me off guard. He lunged at me and wrapped his hands around my neck. I staggered, barely dodging a fatal grip. He wouldn’t be able to snap my neck in an instant, but he was so strong that I couldn't break free.

"I've been looking for you for twenty-seven years." I found out later that serpents have an instinct to mark their destined mates. After coming of age, they're driven to seek out a specific scent that belongs to them alone. No one expected that Victor would feel nothing for any female shifter, and that he'd find what he was looking for in a dirty corner of a human city. Its fangs were the size of human fingers, with emerald eyes which gave me the feeling that it could kill with just a stare. It possessed a purely black body with white stripes. It kept ogling me, while hissing ferociously, in preparation to spread its venom across my body. And I couldn't help but stare back, however, in utmost horror. "Oh my dear ravenous boy," exclaimed Malena loftily, stroking the serpent. But you do not have to wait for long as it's dinner time. And with a freakishly hissing sound, she instructed it to attack.

She rolled, ducked, and weaved through its relentless assault, retaliating with precise strikes from her silver blade. The serpent's scales bled black venom, staining the ground beneath them, but Edna refused to yield. Belial, witnessing the hunter's tenacity, grew frustrated. She summoned more serpents, their numbers overwhelming. Yet, Edna fought on, her movements fluid and purposeful. With every serpent she dispatched, she grew closer to her goal. Finally, with a mighty swing of her blade, Edna severed the head of the colossal serpent, its lifeless body collapsing to the ground with an earth-shaking thud. The room fell into an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of Edna's labored brea

I howled. “Really, Fianna, this is pitiful,” he taunted. I tried running again only to find myself entrapped. He trapped me in a half-Nelson. “There's a reason I'm called the serpent,” he hissed. “I'm like a python: the more you struggle, the tighter my hold on you grows. Come willingly- resistance is futile.” “Bite my ass, snake,” I spat. “As tempting as that sounds, we have serious business to attend to,” he said lowly, grip on me tightening. “Your hysterics only hinder your freedom, worm.” Manacles appeared on my wrist. I was shackled to him like a dog.

Cast within the reflection of the mirror she sees the distorted face of a man she can’t place. Behind his looming figure she sees a ball of fire and she can swear she hears screaming and crying. Closing her eyes she finds a cold finger caressing her spine making her look slowly towards the door hoping against all logic that Peter would return and not leave her alone.

The ugly dragon chased behind Allan with its claw teeth lunching forward with every chance it gets to bite Allan's flesh but Allan's reflexes help him dodge the teeth. Allan turns and he stretches his right hand.
