Please help me get these young ones out of here then we will talk, I promise." Shelby says with a smile as 3 warriors come into the shed quickly moving that box out of the way and open up the crawl space. "Come out pups it's okay now" she whispers out as exhaustion starts to kick in. All four pups come out with dried tears on their faces and immediately run over to Shelby. "I know little ones. It's okay. We're safe I promise" she says while comforting them.

I said, trying to figure out what revelation she may have come to on that phone call with her friends. Shelby gave me a smile that lit up the area around us, causing sparks of happiness to rush through me. I couldn’t help but smile back at her in delight. Perhaps everything would work out in the end. I believed what I said, and she did too. Now we just needed Blaine to take the bait. “I am,” Shelby said, stepping over a few rocks in a babbling brook. She chuckled, watching a dragonfly zip by with fascination. Watching her enjoy herself made me feel good, I never wanted to stop being near her.

I think someone told Crich to pick a fight with my dad. Shelby did not say she agreed, but she said, "I have a friend who works as a guard. Faye smiled and returned to her room. Yet she found it hard to fall asleep with how angry she was. Shelby's fate was far too pitiful, and Faye was even considering tracking down that bastard to teach him a lesson. The night slowly darkened. Shelby tossed and turned in bed and could not sleep, her expression solemn. A long while later, she took a deep breath and walked out of her room. She came to Wilbur's room, slowly twisting the doorknob open.

Kate POV Shelby lay on her side as we assess the damage. A couple broken ribs, a broken ankle that was almost healed, cuts to her abdomen, missing flesh that was starting to close on her body, the worst was on her shoulder. Shelby was breathing heavily from the exertion and the pain. I was offering soothing words, but her body needed to heal. She was afraid to shift back to our human form, fearing she wouldn’t be able to shift back to wolf form until we were healed.

She is pacing herself right behind me. I move up through the crowd, noticing she is mirroring me. I go left, and so does she.
