He pops his head in and smiles, "Got a minute?"
Wishing that he didn't, I reluctantly reply, "Sure, I have a couple reports to type up, but I have a few minutes."
He walks in and drags the chair around the desk, so he can sit right next to me. "I was hoping you might go out to dinner with me tonight?"
Stunned, my mouth drops open a little. "Actually, I can't. I have a very needy dog and usually my neighbor watches her, but I told him I wouldn't be late tonight."
