Suddenly, a tiny burst of colorful sparks erupted from the tip of her wand, and a small scroll materialized in her hand. "This, my friend, is the 'Rhyme-Rite' spell," she explained, unrolling the scroll. "It's foolproof, guaranteed to make anyone rhyme for a day!" I marveled at the intricate symbols and enchanting words inscribed on the scroll. "This is incredible, Sophie! So, how do we use it?" With a mischievous grin, Sophie whispered the instructions. "We just need to recite this incantation and point our wands at the person we want to rhyme. But remember, we must use our powers wisely, and only for the sake of mischief and good fun!"

I suggested, eager to steer the conversation away from the matrimonial topic. "Can we sing 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'?" Julia's eyes gleamed with a spark of hope. "Absolutely," I chuckled, launching into a slightly off-key rendition of the nursery rhyme, hoping it would lull them into a peaceful sleep, filled with dreams of a happy, whole family. "Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb..." The butchered rendition of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" died a mercifully quick death. Halfway through the first verse, the melody dissolving into something resembling a strangled cat, the twins erupted in a fit of giggles.

It was my fucking fault for sleeping like an idiot. I sighed and walked past him then entered my room to get ready. When I had finished, we left in his car for Madam Helen’s place. No one said a word to each other in the car. The only sound that echoed around us was Daisy’s happy singing. “Humpty, Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall; all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Humpty together again.” I nodded my head at Daisy’s nursery rhymes, humming along with her.

I kicked and screamed, desperately trying to break free from his grasp, but my efforts were in vain. As he carried me on his shoulder, people stared at us with curious eyes. Their gazes fixed upon us, they smiled and whispered to each other, their words barely audible but their amusement evident. The sight of me, helpless and being carried away, seemed to entertain them. Their smiles widened, their laughter hushed, as they relished in the spectacle before them. Their whispers filled the air, adding to the tension and making me scream in frustration, which resulted in another… SMACK!

His bullies all laughed mockingly at him as he balled his fists. "Told ya he will try to fight back," the shortest one of them all commented. "Whatcha gonna do, Lone Princess?" They all broke into a fit of laughter. Kinsley felt irritated every time they called him names, inappropriate and sometimes degrading ones. But he did not let it get to him. He did not want to stoop into their level of childishness.
