A knock on his door was heard, and Zera entered, carrying a pile of papers. Lucas grimaced. She carefully placed the papers above his table, and sat on the chair.
Lucas started scanning the newly-printed-still-warm applications.
“We cannot let humans interfere with our work,” Zera spoke, looking intently at Lucas.
“I believe I heard that for the 666th time right now,” Lucas answered, eyes focused on the papers.
“Selene is human,” Zera stated. It caught Lucas’s attention.
