“Shut the hell up. We have Starlight and we will never give her to you.” Leo shook his head with pity. “I don’t care what you say. Your boyfriend’s life is your business. But we will get Starlight if it’s the last thing we do.” Growls echoed in the now heavy wind. Fog floated over the top of the boulder. Silver leaned forward, fur growing on the surface of her skin, fingers clawing beside her. Miles went on all fours. A burst of hot air expelled from his body as he transformed slowly. Dark brown fur grew out of his body, his hind legs took shape. He was huge but beside Silver’s hulking gray wolf he looked smaller.

Blackfur laughed as it got closer knowing that just a claw would be enough to send Xavier’s wolf flying across the gathering and cracking all the bones in his body upon impact on the floor. “This is madness,” Jimin muttered. “Stop! Xavier Stop!” Silver ran on with purpose, not even reducing his pace a bit. “Ready father?” Silver muttered. “Always ready,” the voice replied in his head. Just a few meters away from Blackfur, Silver dove high in the air. Blackfur stood still, smiling, waiting and calculating for the little wolf to be close enough to the ground for him to bat away, but he did not expect what was coming next. “Now!” Silver roared.

When she had drunk to her stomach's satisfaction, she finally raised her head so we could see our beautiful fur. I had a silver wolf, the fur looked like it glistened and had the most beautiful shimmering blue eyes. My wolf’s eyes were literally glowing abd looked so fucking perfect. I had heard that silver wolves were blessed or the moon goddess’ children or something and since I had a silver wolf, that meant it had to be really special. 'Mother—’ ‘’Just call me Mom.’ I heard her chuckle. I chuckled too. ‘Sorry about that. My wolf is silver, does that mean I possess any kind of special ability?’

Well, that is because he is the only one that has the power to control a newbie from going rampage and also, after the change, bonds with the newbie to become an official member of the pack. Well, as you can tell, since the alpha wasn't there with me that night, I am not officially part of the pack. So no one could guess I have a wolf. As I pounced on Thomas, a strange voice encouraged the action from the back of my mind. "Get him!" I froze in surprise, Thomas and Lily quickly following suit. "Who are you?" I asked the voice in my head. "I'm you. Rather, I'm your wolf. My name is Silver." I had a picture in my mind of a wolf the color of moonlight, her head held high proudly. "I'm Kendra." I managed. She smiled and dipped her head in recognition. "Daddy, I met my wolf!" I half pranced, half waddled over to my very startled father. "Daddy?" He was looking at me in awe. So was the whole pack.

I heard screams in the distance. “They’ve broken through the border,” Silvercloud announced as he shifted, leaping off the steps with a growl. His wolf was impressive with fur as dark as a raven’s wing, but yet like his surname suggests, there were random wisps of silver in his fur, making it appear to shine. Now isn’t the time to gawk or comment. Now it’s time to fight. I shifted as well, leaping past Silvercloud, knowing Mikali was taking up my right.

“We will start by teaching you both that each wolf holds special powers that no other wolf possesses; the Gold wolf can give wolfbane, silver pain, and other types of pain by its bite, claws, and fur when close to the enemy. The Silver can’t get hurt by wolfbane, silver, and any pain from them. Even after being switched, you can use these powers just as you saw your mates do earlier.” My eyes grew from what my mother had just explained to us. The wolf did not only switch our souls. Do they have powers too?

My eyes had burned, not the usual wolf amber, but a piercing silver glow that pierced through shadows, daring anything to defy me. I needed the escape, and needed to chase the high of sweet release. An idea came to mind. Lya’s idea, actually. For ten years, she had silenced her wolf with silver. She had been nearly human. She was a Wulver and resistant to silver, so maybe I’d have more results than she did. Maybe my wolf wouldn’t be able to fight through it like hers did.
