‘Oh boy’. Vanessa thought. She had forgotten about the two wishes she had promised to Xavier the other day. And now that Xavier mentioned what he wanted for his first wish, she was in a tight spot since this wasn't the right time for her, as she had planned to go to her cyber cafe now.

Abigail says, tauntingly. “Yes,” I roll my eyes, “because it’s my dream to work at a camp for all things supernatural. You really got me there, Abigail.” Susan snickers and Kathleen hides her grin. Abigail just splutters, “Y-You just wish you could be like her.” “Can you just leave already Abigail?” I sneer at her. “And take your one-person fan club with you.” Outraged, Abigail storms off just as Beth exits the stall, looking pale but less shaken.

We do not speak afterwards , but it feels comfortable – a comfortable silence. ___________________________________________________________________ “Another day wasted hey” Jason says taking a seat in the library chair opposite me. I nod my head in absolute exhaustion. After our moment in the car , Jason and I dug deep into the shelves of this library trying to find any information regarding the moonlight wish. However , we have no such luck as we are about to leave this library empty handed as well. Frustration shows on my face as I sit and stare the towers of books had read through – my head has an unimaginable pain caused by careful observation of very page of every book.

Once you feel happy for fifty five times, the ones who came to make you happy will be disappear like they never happened. You have to continue as if they never existed. Would you take it or would you leave the offer and find your own happiness?

"Doubting can make you miss your magic star, Sheila. That's one of the reasons why things don't work out for some people. Do you want to be one of them?" "No, not at all," Sheila shook her head, her eyes still closed. "How many wishes are we allow to make?" "Only one wish, which means think of a wish that will change your life forever, even if it seems impossible," Louisa replied. "Now, let's clear our minds by tossing all the negativities into the water, and let the water drown away our fears and all our doubts. And let's now find our magic star in with a peaceful mind."

"I was hoping you'd say that." That night, after I'd tucked Abby into bed, I sat at the small dining table and started writing a list. Not a grocery list. Not a to-do list. A wish list — things I never thought I'd write again. Matching pajamas. Warm cider. Christmas morning pancakes. A photo of Abby under a tree that wasn't dim or half-decorated out of obligation, but glowing and proud.

We did not fear the cold. I thought, “But Alex, I had traded all my power to make the second wish for your family.” I was as fragile as any human. My fingers were sheathed in frost. The world in front of me was blurring. When I looked up, I saw dark clouds gathering quietly in the sky. It was coming. “Ten… nine… eight… seven…” As soon as I finished the countdown, I burst into manic laughter. “Alex, I curse you! You will suffer miserably for the rest of your short life!”

Estelle didn’t expect that he would do this for her and asked in shock, “Really? So, this is the present that you said you would give me as long as I marry you?” “Yes.” “It must be very expensive!” “No matter how much it costs, it’s worth it. So... Will you marry me?” Estelle smiled happily and leaned closer to him, “I made a wish list in my diary when I was twenty. I don’t know if you have ever read my diary, but that’s not important now. Anyway, what you did for me these days happened to make all my wishes come true except for two of them. One of my unfulfilled wishes is to buy a new car for my father. However, I will never be able to fulfill this wish in my life.”

Nothing could change my mind. So I cleared all the distractions mentally and sighed. “I know my wish,” I said to her. Lucia chuckled freely. “Remember, you have one unlimited wish. Anything you want in the entire world.” I nodded as if she could see me, my mind feeling like a thousand elephants were sitting on it. “So um…my wish is that I want nothing to do with you and your family ever again,” I finally said, and it was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

Aiden looked at me like I was crazy, but pulled another candle out of a box and put it in the cheesecake for me. I smiled. “Thank you. Now I can have two wishes.” “Piper, I don’t think it works that way.” “It does now,” Jonas interjected. “Thank you, Jonas.” Jonas lit the second candle and I blew both out. My silent wishes were simple: 1) I wished to be able to see my family and friends again; and 2) I wished to meet my fated mate. Wishes made, I began eating the cheesecake.
