Skeleton On Nightmare Before Christmas Novels & Stories

The lanterns flickered and died, leaving only the pale, sickly moonlight filtering through the window where I stood. I watched in horror as the thing on the floor didn't stand up like a human. It buckled. Its spine snapped and reshaped, its limbs elongating with the sound of dry wood splintering. "Silas!" I screamed. My grandfather stood his ground. He reached into his satchel and threw a handful of salt, but the creature didn't recoil. It inhaled. The salt hung in the air for a second before being sucked into the thing’s lipless mouth.

A voice started to sing about trembling and shaking as she reached her hand out to the edge of the screen, beckoning some unseen partner to join her. The other dancer turned out to be a skeleton. Glowing white bones jangled along to the music, while the girl smiled and laughed. Occasionally, lights would glare off the fishing line that was holding the skeleton upright but most of the time the flat black background made the illusion eerily convincing. The two danced and rocked to the music, and I felt my toe start to tap along. The girl’s smile was real, and you couldn’t resist smiling along. Then he came into the frame. Going to the hallway before me I turned right. That place smelled worse than before. I pulled the candle closer to me to get a better look when I felt I stepped on something hard. My eyes turned big. I slowly looked down on what I had stepped on. I screamed on top of my lungs . "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH". Because I stepped on a hand, not just any hand it was a skeleton hand. I turned my body slightly to see my surroundings. My eyes fell on a heep of skeletons on the side. My eyes grew even bigger.

But if it heard him, the skeleton didn’t show it and instead, shocked them when it titled Mariah’s head and buried his face on her neck. Mariah screamed at the pain of torn flesh and it took her only a second to realize what was happening. The skeleton was…sucking her blood! “Mariah!” Asher screamed and attacked this time, punching the skeleton right on the head that the skull broke and it was forced to free Mariah. Pushing Mariah behind him for her to heal, Asher’s eyes burned red as his fangs elongated, baring at the skeleton.

I looked at Caroline standing guard over all of us with the same fierce devotion she once reserved only for battle. Finally, I looked at Desmond. The man who had never stopped choosing me. I repeated but with some hostility. "No need to sound aggressive Mr James" said Nicolas. He had a heavy moustache and a big frame and when he smiled, it didn't quite reach his eyes. I uttered out, not knowing what was ahead of me. The coffin automatically opens on its own, and a skeleton jumps out of it. First time in my life I had ever seen a skeleton, and not to mention that the skeleton just 'Jump Out' Fear creeps inside of me, as I shut my eyes wide open, ready to scream while running away, but something strange happens. The skeleton which had just risen from the coffin placed its mouth on my neck.

Surprisingly they hadn't decomposed. My eyes widened ever so lightly. I walked over to him, my stare fixated on the skeletons. There were three of them. "This one is of a little girl," Jason pointed to the small skeleton compared to the size, " Her ribs were broken." He examined it, his fingers lightly pointing at the crack on the lower bones of the rib. I crouched down opposite to him, the three skeletons laying between us, and then my eyes fell on the gold locket on the skeleton's neck area. The same locket I had seen in the picture on the girl named Orabelle.
